B efore operation, gasoline mus t be mix ed wi th a good qualit y synthe tic 2- cycle air- cooled engine oil designed to be mix ed at a ratio of 40:1.
9 ON STOP ON/STOP SWITCH OFF FULL CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER Choke/Fast Idle Lever (SIDE VIEW ) ST ARTING A W ARM ENGINE: S Move ON/STOP swi tch to the ON posi tion. S Pull the choke/f ast idl e lever out to the full extent, then push t he l ever back in c om- pletely (to t he OFF posi tion).
10 S Keep the chain out of dirt and s and. E ven a small amount of dirt will qui ckly dull a chain and thus increa se the possibility of kick- back. S Practi ce cutt ing a few small logs us ing the following t echniques to get t he “feel” of us- ing your s aw before you begin a maj or sawing operati on.
