9 FUEL ING & LUBRICA TION FU EL ING EN GINE WAR N I N G : Remove fuel cap slow - ly when refueling. T his engine is c ertified to operate on unleaded gas oline. Before oper ation, gasolin e mus t be mix ed with a good quality s y nthetic 2-cy c le air-c ooled engine oil d esigned to b e mixed at a ratio of 40:1.
10 4. Pus h the chok e/fas t idle lever in to the HALF C HOK E position. 5. Pull the s tarter rope quick ly w ith your right hand until t he engine star ts. 6. Allow t he engine to run for appr oximately 30 sec onds. T hen, squeez e and release throttle tr igger to allow engine to retur n to idle s peed.
11 S Prac tice c utting a f ew small logs us ing the following tec hniques to get t he “feel” of us- ing your s aw befor e you begin a major saw ing operation. S Squeez e the throt tle trigger and allow the engine to reac h full speed befor e cutting .
12 NOTE: Bef ore felling cut is c omplete, use wedges to open t he cut when neces sar y to cont rol the direc tion of fall. T o avoid k ick back and chain damage, us e wood or plast ic wedges , but never s teel or iron wedges .
