10 I nstallin g and T r ackin g A brasiv e Belt To i nstall t he abrasive bel t, proc eed as f ollows Refer t o Figur es 5 and 6: 1. Loosen t he knob (A) and sw ing t he belt end guard (B) out of position.
11 2. Insert the two M10x 25 socket head cap screws (AA), w i th tw o M10 flat w as hers (EE), t hrough the f ence base and i nto the threaded hol es on the piv ot plate. 3. Ti ghten the screws wit h an 8mm he x wrench. 4. Check t hat the gap between f ence and sanding b elt is about 1/ 16”.

15 A z ero-degree stop screw (D) i s locat ed behind the di sc. The bloc k should be set for qu ic k plac e m ent of t he table to t he zero positi on (90 degree tabl e). The block m us t be sw ung out of positi on f or the tabl e to be t ilt ed downward.
16 Operatio n The bel t and disc sander can be equi pped w it h a v ar i ety of abrasiv es and grit si zes to h andl e a wide v ariety of m a ter ials, fr o m s oft w oods to hardened s teel . I t can be used t o rapi dly r emov e m a teri al and produce a m i rror fi nish.

It i s general ly bet ter t o start wit h a sli ghtly coarser abrasiv e than would s eem pr actical because it w ill g ive fa s te r mate ria l re mo val, gener ate l es s heat, and w ill s and m ore f reely.
