When driving down an incline, do so by setting the speed adjustment dial to the slowest setting and driving in the forward direction only .

Y our Celebrity is an indoor/outdoor scooter that was designed to travel primarily on smooth surfaces such as sidewalks, roads, parking lots, floors, and driveways.

Speed Control Dial This control dial allows you to preselect and limit your Celebrity s top speed.
20 www .pridemobility .com Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 REAR SECTION The onboard battery charger , the char ger power cord, the batteries, the electronic controller assembly , the main circuit breaker , the manual freewheel lever , and the motor/transaxle assembly are located beneath the shroud on the rear section of your Celebrity .
21 Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 www .pridemobility .com Motor/T ransaxle Assembly The motor/transaxle assembly is the electromechanical unit that converts the electrical ener gy of your Celebrity s bat- teries into the controlled mechanical energy that drives the Celebrity s wheels.
22 www .pridemobility .com Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 Y our Celebrity is equipped with two long-lasting, 12- volt, deep-cycle batteries that are sealed and mainte- nance free. They are recharged by an onboard 3-amp charging system designed for ease of use and conve- nience.
23 Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 www .pridemobility .com FREQUENTL Y ASKED QUESTIONS (F AQS) How does the charger work? When your Celebrity s battery voltage is low , the charger works harder and sends more electrical current to the batteries to bring up their charge.
24 www .pridemobility .com Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 n Always fully charge your Celebrity s batteries prior to your daily use. n Maintain 30 psi (pounds per square inch) in all of your Celebrity s tires. n Plan your route ahead to avoid as many hills, cracked, broken, or soft surfaces as possible.
25 Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 www .pridemobility .com Heat diminishes the charge on the battery; cold slows the available power and extends the time needed to recharge the battery . It may take a few days for the temperature of your Celebrity s batteries to stabilize and adjust to their new room or ambient temperature.

Batteries and Charging. n Is the manual freewheel lever in the drive (down) position? Never leave the manual freewheel lever pulled up unless you are manually pushing your scooter.
27 Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 www .pridemobility .com VII. OPERA TION GETTING OFF OF YOUR SCOOTER 1. Bring your scooter to a complete stop. 2. Remove the key from the key switch. 3. Disengage the seat lock lever and rotate the seat until you are facing toward the side of your scooter.
28 www .pridemobility .com Celebrity/RevH/Apr03 TILLER ANGLE ADJUSTMENT is in motion. Y ou can adjust the tiller to any number of positions between the forward stop and the scooter deck. 1. Pull up on the tiller adjustment lever . See figure 12. 2. Move the tiller to a comfortable position.
