36 Chapter1 Overview 1.4.5 Inserting and Ejecting a CD-ROM This section expla ins how to insert and e ject a CD-ROM. ■ Cautions for Hand ling CD-ROM Drive • Use the d rive in a dr y place with low airborne d ust levels . Entry of water, a paper clip, o r other liqu ids or metal objects can cause elec tric shock or failures.

38 Chapter1 Overview If the CD-ROM is placed improperly w hen the tray is pushed into the unit, the CD-ROM or the drive m ay be dam aged. Be careful not to touch th e lens of the C D-ROM drive. 4 Move the tray back . Push the tray gently until it clicks into position.

However , the maximum installable size varies depending on the OS. Furthermore, since the server uses p art of the memory as PCI resources, the maximum available size is limited.

Procedures for starting installat ion are the same as those in normal installation (preconfig uration mode, guided mode, and expert mode).

Perform the following procedures to prepare the PXE server .
