It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that all users of this treadmill are adequately informed of all warnings and precautions.
4 2 0. Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running. Always remove the key, unplug the power cord, and switch the reset/off cir- cuit breaker to the off position when the treadmill is not in use. (See the drawing on page 5 for the location of the circuit breaker.

6 ASSEMBL Y T o hire an authorized service technician to assemble the treadmill, call 1-800-445-2480. Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispos e of the pa ckin g mate rial s unti l asse mbly i s compl eted .
7 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. With the help of a second person, carefully tip t he treadmill onto its left side. Partially fold the Frame (55) so that the treadmill is more stable; d o not fully fold the Frame yet. Locate the Upright Wire (85), which is bundled at the back of the Base (94).
8 3. Identify the Right Upright Spacer (91), which is marked with a “Right” sticker. A lign the oval hole in the Right Upright Spacer (91) with the oval hole in the Base (94). If the h oles do not line up, turn the Right Upright Spacer and try again.

10 8. Identify the Left Handrail (78). Slide a Handrail Cover (77) onto the lower end of the Left Handrail. Remove the tie from the bracket on the Left Handrail.
1 1 10. With the help of a second person, hold the con- sole assembly near the Right Handrail (79) and the Left Handrail (not shown). Connect the Upright Wire (85) to the console wire. See the inset drawing. The connectors should slide together easily and snap into place.
12 12. See steps 5 and 6. Tighten the 3/8" x 5 1/2" Patch Bolts (7). See steps 4 and 6. Slide the Upright Covers (86, 87) down the Uprights (82, 83). Attach the Left Accessory Tray (101) and the Right Accessory Tray (104) to the console as- sembly with eight #8 x 1/2" Screws (1).
13 14. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill. If there are sheets of clear plastic on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the tread- mill. Note: Extra hardware may be included.
14 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT T HE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- i cone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
15 FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. When you use the manual mode, you can change the speed and incline with the touch of a button. As you exercise, the console will display con- tinuous exercise feedback.
16 HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER IMPORTANT: If the treadmill has been exposed to c old temperatures, allow it to warm to room tem- perature before turning on the power. If you do not d o this, you may damage the console displays or other electrical components.

18 HOW TO USE A PRESET WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW T O TURN ON TH E POWER on p age 16. 2. Select a preset workout. If you have selected the manual mode, a workout, or the iFit Live mode, press the Menu button to re- turn to the main menu.

20 HOW TO USE A COMPETITION WORKOUT 1. Insert the key into the console. See HOW T O TURN ON TH E POWER on p age 16. 2. Select a competition workout. If you have selected the manual mode, a workout, or the iFit Live mode, press the Menu button to re- turn to the main menu.

24 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 . Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your left hand. Pull the latch knob to the right and hold it. It may be nec- essary to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the right. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.
25 TROUBLESHOOTING M ost treadmill problems can be solved by following the simple steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, see the front cover of this manual. PROBLEM: The power does not turn on SOLUTION: a.
26 Remove t he four #8 x 3/4" Screws (14) a nd carefully remove the Motor Hood (61). Locate the Reed Switch (44) and the Magnet (43) on the left side of the Pulley (42). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8 in.
27 PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the k ey and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.

29 SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you stretch—never bounce. 1. Toe Touch Stretch Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips. Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible.
