Tsunami MP.11 Installation and Management Static or Dynamic IP Address The MP.11 can use either a static or dynamic IP address. ▪ Static IP address: The MP.11 uses the IP address you have set manually. ▪ Dynamic IP address : The MP.11 receives its IP address from a DHCP server when it i s switched on or rebooted.

Deleting system traps has no effect on the operation of the MP.11. S ystem traps are also sent to an SNMP manager station (if so configured).

Tsunami MP.11 Installation and Management The Base Station must not be configured at a higher data rate as any of the SUs, as the timeout of the Base Station is determined by its data rate. If one of the SUs has a l ower data rate than the Base Statio n, it cause s a timeout o n all the long er data frames.

Tsunami MP.11 Installation and Management In large n etworks with multiple MP .11 devic es, you ca n maintain a lis t of MAC add resses on a centralized location usi ng a RADIUS authentication server that grants or denies access. If you use this kind of authentication, you must specif y at least the primary RADIUS server.
Tsunami MP.11 Installation and Management Ethernet Protocol Filter The Ethernet Protocol Filter blocks or forwards packets based upon the Ethernet protocol s they support. Command Line Interface INTRODUCTION The Command Line Interface (CLI) provides a text-based interface with whi ch you can configure and manage the MP.11 using commands. You can enter these commands or submit them in the form of a script to allow batch processing.
