8 Features ˆ Features Your RadioShack 2.4 GHz 2-Line Digita l Spread Spectrum Cordless Speakerphone uses advanced cordless telep hone te chnolo- gy to give you superior audio qu ality and ex- tended range. Th e phone lets you pl ace and receive calls on two separate telephone lines.
9 Features Line Status In dicators — show if a line is available, in use, or on hold. Headset Jack — lets you make or answer calls with handsfree convenie nce using an optional headset. Auto Talk — you can set the phone so you can answer a call b y just lifting the handset from the base.
10 Installation ˆ Installation MOUNTING THE PHONE You can place the phone’s base on a desk or table, or mount it on a standard wall plate or directly on a wall.
11 Installation On a Desk T op 1. Insert the bracket’s tabs into the base’s upper tab slots, then press down on th e bracket’s clips and insert them into the clip slots. 2. T o connect the phone to a tw o-line phone jack , plug one end o f the supplied long two-line modular cord into the TEL LINE 1/2 jack on the back of the phone.

ADJUSTING THE RINGER The phone lets you contro l its base and handset ringer volume separa tely. You can choose from a high or low ringer setting or turn the ringer off for the base and the hand- set.

21 Memory Dialing ˆ Memory Dialing You can store up to 30 numbers in the hand- set’s memory and another 10 in th e base’s memory, then dial a stored number by press- ing a memory location number. You can also store a name with each number in the hand- set’s memory.

25 Caller ID Operation (Handset Only) ADDING/DELETING THE AREA CODE When the area code of the received call is the same as the one you stored (see “Storing Your Area Code” on Page 15), the caller ID record does not show the area code. If it is different, the record shows the area code.
26 Troubleshooting ˆ T roubleshooting We do not expect you to have any proble ms with your phone, but if you do, the following sug- gestions might help. Problem Suggestion The phone does not work or works poorly . Be sure the base’s phone line cord and AC adapter are cor- rectly and securely connected.
27 Troubleshooting If you still have problems, discon nect the phone. If other phones on the same line work proper- ly, the fault is in this phone or its installation. If you can not find the problem, take your pho ne to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
