Microwave Oven RMW743 1. READ these instructions carefully bef ore installing and operating the oven. Keep them for further reference. 2. Record in the space below the “SERIAL NO.” found on the nameplate on your oven and retain this information for future reference.
1 PRECAUTIONS T O A VOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE T O EXCESSIVE MICROW A VE ENERGY 1. Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door-open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy . It is import ant not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.
2 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrica l appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following: W ARNING - T o reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, and injury to persons or exposure to excessive micro wave energy: 1.
3 S tir the liquid both before and halfway through heating it. Do not use straight-sided cont ainers with narrow necks. After heating, allow the container to stand in the microwave oven for a short time before removing the containe r . Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other utensil into the containe r .
4 GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. The appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug.

Before touching ST AR T/STOP , touch COOK; enter two-stage cooking programs and then touch ST AR T/STOP .
10 QUICK COOK SETTINGS The QUICK COOK settings allow you to cook or reheat food automatically without entering power level or time. For smaller portions, simply touch the applicable pad and ST ART/STOP . For larger portions, press the pad twice. FROZEN DINNER, BAKED POT A TO and BEVERAGE allow you to cook multiple amounts of t he same food.
11 CLEANING AND CARE 1. When cleaning surface s of door and oven that comes together on closing the door , use only mild, nonabrasive soups, or d etergents ap plied with a sponge or sof t cloth. 2. T urn off the oven an d remove the power plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
