4 n Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator.

7 DOUBLE INSULA TION Double insulation is a concept in safety in electric power tools, which eliminates the need for the usual three-wir e grounded power cor d. All exposed metal parts are isolated from the inter nal metal motor components with pr otecting i n s u l a t i o n .

10 ® � ® OPERA TION TO INST ALL BLADE See Figure 2. n Unplug the saw. WARNING: The tool should never be connected to a power supply when you are assembling parts, making ad jus tm en ts, cle an in g, per fo rmi ng mai nt ena nc e, or when the tool is not in use.
11 OPERA TION WARNING: Cutting into electrical wiring in walls can cause metal surfaces of the saw to become electrically live. Do not touch metal parts when cutting into a wall; grasp only the insulated gripping surfaces provided on the tool.
12 Fig. 7 OPERA TION MET AL CUTTING See Figure 7. Metals such as sheet steel, pipe, steel rods, aluminum, brass, and copper may be cut with the saw . Be car eful not to twist or bend the saw blade. Do not force. W e recommend using cutting oil when cutting most soft metals and steel.
