About this microwa ve ov en Microw av es are high-frequenc y electr omagnetic wa ves similar to radio wa v es. Wh ile radio wa ves may vary in length from one metre to many kilometres, micr owa ves are very short (less than 12 .5 centimetres). Microw av es do not mak e an y heat themselves but only cause water molecules in f ood to vibrate.
Unpacking your microw av e oven Bef ore you use your micr owa ve oven 1. Remove all the packaging. Do not remove the small piece of car d from the right hand side of the c a vity wall. This is called a wa ve-guide cover and allows the microw av es to pass through to cook the f ood.
Saf ety instructions Do not use the ove n fo r any reason other than pre paring f ood, such as for drying clothes, pap er or any other non-food it ems, or for s terilising purposes. ➢ Do not use the oven when it is em pty . This could damage the oven.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Heat from the cont ents of a cont ainer may be transmi tted to the contai ner itself , so please be car eful when removing it from the oven. Please remember that the fo od or liquid inside will be r eleasing some s team or will be spi tting.
Saf ety instructions ➢ Food c ontai ning a mix ture of fa t and w ater (f or ex ample, stock) should s tand for 30 to 60 seconds in the oven afte r it has been tur ned off . T his is to allow the mixture to settle and to pr event it fr om bubbling when a spoon is placed in it, or a stock cube is added.
Saf ety instructions To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity: ➢ Do not overcook food. ➢ Do not leave the microwave oven unattended while you are usin g it and if using paper or plastic containers check regu larly to ensure they do not ignite.

Do not cover ventilation Microwa ve ov en installation ➢ Select a level surfac e that provides enough space for the outlet vents. ➢ A minimum clear ance of 7.5 cm is required between the oven and an y adjacent walls. One side must be open. Leav e a minimum clearance of 30 cm above the oven.

11 T urn table installation ➢ Before first use, check that any securing tape has been removed from the glas s tray and turnt able ring assembly. These parts must never be restrict ed from rotating. ➢ Never place the g lass tray up side down. ➢ Both the glass tray a nd turntable ring assemb ly must always be used durin g cooking.
Control panel The c ontr ol panel c onsists of two function selectors. One is to se t the cooking time and the other to set the cooking power . How to use y our microw av e oven To start cooking or defros ting ➢ Place the food in the oven and close the door . ➢ T urn Pow er Selector to select a power level. ➢ Use the Timer Selector to set a c ooking or defr osting time. NO TE: As soon as the Timer Selector is turned, the oven starts c ooking.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Bef ore y ou clean the oven, turn it off and unplug it. ➢ Keep the inside of the oven clean. When foo d or liquids stick to the oven w alls, wipe with a damp cloth. We recommend that y ou do not use harsh deter gent or abr asives.
Cleaning and c are ➢ Regularly remove the glass turntable to clean it, and wash it in warm soapy w ater . ➢ Regularly clean the turn table support and oven floor . Simply wipe the bottom surf ace of the ove n with mild det erg ent and w ater , then d ry .
Important utensil inf ormation ➢ Do not use metal pans or dishes with metal handles. ➢ Do not use anything with a metal trim. ➢ Do not use paper cov ered wire twis t-ties on plastic bags. ➢ Do not use melamin e dishes as they con tain a material w hich will absorb microwa v e energy .
Connection to the mains supply W ARNING- THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED This appliance is designed to operate from a mains supply of AC V ~ 50 HZ . Check that the v oltage mark ed on the product corresponds with y our supply v oltage. This product is fitted with a 13 A plug c omplying with BS 1363 .

Problem solving The microw av e oven may c ause interfer ence to y our radio , TV or similar equipment. If it does, you can g et rid of the int erfer ence by moving the r adio, TV or equipment as far aw ay from y our micr owa ve oven as possible. If the ov en doesn’t work - ➢ Mak e sure the mains plug is p lugged in secur ely .
