WARNING: T o prevent serious personal injury or damage to the unit, the blower tube must be installed while operating this unit as a blower .
ADJUSTING THE SHOULDER HARNESS (V acuum Kit) WARNING - Hot Surface: T o prevent serious personal injury when operating the unit as a vacuum, hold the unit to the left side of the body (Fig. 7). The muffler becomes extremely hot during operation and can cause burns.
OIL AND FUEL INFORMA TION 11 WARNING: Gasoline is extr emely flammable. Ignited V apors may explode. Always stop the engine and allow it to cool before filling the fuel tank. Do not smoke while filling the tank. Keep sparks and open flames at a distance from the ar ea.

MAINTENANCE AND REP AIR INSTRUCTIONS 17 REPLACING THE SP ARK PLUG Use a Champion RDJ7Y spark plug (or equivalent). The correct air gap is 0.020 inch (0.5 mm.) . Remove the plug after every 50 hours of operation and check its condition. 1. Stop the engine and allow it to cool.
CLEANING AND STORAGE 18 LONG TERM STORAGE If the unit will be stored for an extended time, use the following storage procedure. 1. Drain all fuel from the fuel tank and drain into a container with the same 2-cycle fuel mixture. Do not use fuel that has been stored for more than 60 days.
