W ARNING: Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict severe injury.

This will turn off the power to your drill. ■ Loosen the chuck jaws from drill bit . ■ T o loosen: grasp and hold the collar of the chuck with one hand, while rotating chuck body with your other hand.

Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting in possible serious injury . DRILLING See Figure 12. When drilling hard, smooth surfaces, use a center punch to mark the desired hole location.
