English – 5 SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Vibration damping system Y our machine is equipped with a vibration damping system that is designed to minimize vibration and mak e operation easier . The handlebar system's steel tube and the cutting cov er are designed to minimise the vibrations from the engine.

12 – English ASSEMBL Y Fitting the handlebar T ake care not to damage the cables and wires when y ou fold up the handlebar . M48 Pro Lift up the handlebar until the handlebar's upper tubular construction comes directly opposite to the handlebar's lower section.
English – 13 FUEL HANDLING Fuel P etrol • Use good quality unleaded or leaded petrol. • Use fuel with a low octane gr ade. • If the machine is not used f or some time the fuel tank should be emptied and cleaned. Engine oil Check the oil le vel bef ore star ting the lawn mo wer .
14 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Star ting and stopping Cold engine Ensure the ignition lead sits correctly on the spark plug. Starting: Open the fuel tap. Choke: Set the throttle control in the choke position. W arm engine Use the same star ting procedure as for a cold engine , but do not set the throttle control in the choke position.

16 – English MAINTENANCE Maintenance Air filter The air filter must be regularly cleaned to remov e dust and dir t in order to av oid: • Carburettor malfunctions • Star ting problems • Loss of engine power • Unnecessar y wear to engine par ts.
English – 17 MAINTENANCE Cutter It is impor tant to hav e a shar p and correctly balanced cutter . Loosen the bolt holding the cutter and leav e the cutter at a ser vice workshop at least once a year f or grinding and balancing. An appropriate time to do this is after the mowing season has finished.
