Turn the Computer On and Off Turn the Computer On To use the Chromebook, you have to co nnect to the Inter net and t hen log i n with y our Google account. 1 Connect the AC ad apter. 2 If you ope n the LC D pan el, the com puter is automa tically turne d on.
Turn the Computer Off Press and hold t he power button for a pproximate ly 4 se conds to shut the Chromebo ok down. Press and hold t he power button for a pproximate ly 2 se conds to lock the Chro mebook. When the sy ste m is f roze n, pre ss and hol d d own the po wer but ton fo r a t l eas t 8 se con ds to shutdown the computer.
Get on t he web Logging in with your Google account You can l og int o the Chromebook wi th your Google account. If you don ’t have an account, connect to www.goo gle.c om/accoun ts/NewAcc ount and sign up. If you log in with your Google account, you can convenientl y use Google services such as Gmail, Google Calenda r, Google Do cs and so o n.
Choosing app s for t he apps l ist Click App list but ton ( ) at the bottom of the screen to display all the Ap ps that are currently install ed. You can control which apps appear in the list and easily open them.

LCD Brightness Control Adjust the LCD brightne ss by pr essing the key to decrease brightness or the key to increase brightness. Whene ver you press t he key, the LCD brightness increases by one level .
