Assembling 11 Charge with the tra vel adapter › Plug the small end of the travel adapt er into the 1 multifunction jack. Connecting the travel adapter impr operly may cause serious damage to the device. An y damage caused by misuse is not cover ed by the warranty .
Assembling 12 When the battery is fully charged (the battery icon is 3 no longer moving), unplug the travel adapt er from the device and then from the power outlet .
Assembling 13 Samsung uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully compatible with your device . Using an incompatible memory card may damage your device or the memory card and can corrupt data stored on the card.

Getting started 20 Get to know the idle screen When the device is in Idle mode, you will see the idle scr een. F r om th e i dl e s cr een, yo u can v iew y ou r dev ic e ’ s status and access applications. The idle screen has multiple panels. Scroll left or right to a panel of the idle screen.
Getting started 21 Use the shortcuts panel › In Idle mode or while using an application, tap the indicator icons area and drag y our nger down to open the shortcuts panel. Y ou can activate or deactivate wireless connection features and access a list of notica tions, such as new email messages, upcoming events , and processing status.
