To install your CD -R/RW Drive in t he PC, procee d as follows. Installing the CD-R/RW Drive Make sure th at the PC is powered off an d disconnecte d from any power sourc e.
When using one E-IDE ca ble Connect the cable to the SL (Slave) of the Master/Slav e Select Termin al at the rear of the CD-R/RW drive. a : Slave Dri ve (Choos e the SL J umper) b : Hard Drive c : MainBoa rd When using two E-ID E cable If there is only one CD-R/R W drive, select MA (Master).
Co nnect a jumper to the rear side of the CD-R/RW. If the jumper is connected to MA (Master) , it will work in th e Master mode . If the ju mper is connec ted to SL (Slav e), it wil l work in the Sl ave mode. If the jumper i s connected t o CS (CSEL), you can control t he device by us ing the host interface s ignal CSEL.
