GB 7 T o take full advantage of your new mini-compact system, follow these installation instructions before connecting the unit. Install the system on a flat, stable surface. Never place this unit on carpeting. Never place this unit in an outdoor area.

GB 16 In order to playback video VIDEO-CD( ‘ S), make sure that your unit is connected to your TV set. This unit is designed for playback of video CD( ‘ S), version 1.1 and 2.0. Only with version 2.0, is it possible to call up the on screen menu function.

GB 21 Recording a Radio Programme Y ou can record a radio programme of your choice. Y ou can only record on cassettes in Deck 2. Y ou do not need to adjust the volume, as it has no effect on the recording. Switch the system on by pressing Standby/On .
GB 22 The timer enables you to switch the system on or off at spe- cific times. Example: Y ou wish to wake up to music every morning. If you no longer want the system to be switched on or off auto- matically , you must cancel the timer . Before setting the timer , check that the current time is correct.
GB 23 Y ou can turn the sound off temporarily on your system. Example : Y ou wish to answer a telephone call. Press Mute . T o switch the sound back on (at the same volume as before), press Mute again or the V olume buttons.
