9 ENGLISH INST ALLING Y OUR MICROWA VE OVEN Place the oven on a flat level surface 85 cm above the floor . The surface should be strong enough to safely bear the weight of the oven.
10 ENGLISH CHECKING THA T Y OUR OVEN IS OPERA TING CORRECTL Y The following simple procedure enables you t o check that your oven is working correctly at all times. If you are in doubt, r efer to the section entitled “What to Do if Y ou are in Doubt or Have a Pr oblem” on the next page.
11 ENGLISH The oven causes interference with radios or t elevisions • Slight interference may be observed on televisions or r adios when the oven is operating. This is normal. • Solution: install the oven away from televisions, r adios and aerials.
12 ENGLISH POWER LEVELS AND TIME V ARIA TIONS The power level function enables you to adapt the amount of energy dissipat ed and thus the time required t o cook or reheat your food, according t o its type and quantity . Y ou can choose between six power levels.

14 ENGLISH USING THE AUT O REHEA T FEA TURE The four Auto Reheat ( ) features provide four pr e-progr ammed cooking times. Y ou do not need to set either the cooking times or the power level. Y ou can adjust the size of the serving by turning the dial knob.
15 ENGLISH The following table presents the various Auto Reheat & Cook P rogr ammes, quantities, standing times and appropriate r ecommendations. Pr ogrammes no 1 and 2 are running with microwave ener gy only . Pr ogrammes no 3 and 4 are running with a combination of micr owaves and convection.

17 ENGLISH SENSOR COOK SETTING The following table presents 8 Sensor Cook P rogrammes. It contains its recommended weight r ange per item, standing times after cooking and appr opriate recommendations. After you start the pr ogramme cooking times and power levels are calculated aut omatically .

19 ENGLISH MUL TIST AGE COOKING Y our microwave oven can be programmed t o cook food in up to thr ee stages (the Convection, Microwave+Convection and F ast Pr eheat mode can not be used in Multistage cooking). Example: Y ou wish to defrost food and cook it without having to reset the oven aft er each stage.

22 ENGLISH GRILLING The grill enables you to heat and brown food quickly, without using micr owaves. • Always use oven gloves when touching the recipients in the oven, as they will be very hot. • Y ou can get better cooking and grilling results, if you use the high r ack.

Result: • Combination cooking starts. • The oven is heated to the r equired temper ature and then microwave cooking continues until the cooking time is over . • The display times are 8 seconds for the preset cooking time and 2 seconds for the preset temper ature in sequence.
24 ENGLISH COOKWARE GUIDE T o cook food in the microwave oven, the microwaves must be able to penetr ate the food, without being reflected or absorbed by the dish used. Care must ther efore be taken when choosing the cookware. If the cookwar e is marked microwave-safe, you do not need t o worry .
25 ENGLISH Cooking Guide for froz en vegetables Use a suitable glass pyrex bowl with lid. Cook cover ed for the minimum time - see table. Continue cooking to get the result you pr efer . Stir twice during cooking and once after cooking. Add salt, herbs or butt er after cooking.
26 ENGLISH Cooking Guide for rice and pasta Rice: Use a large glass pyre x bowl with lid - rice doubles in volume during cooking. Cook covered. After the cooking time is over , stir before standing time and salt or add herbs and butter . Remark: the rice may not have absorbed all water after the cooking time is finished.
27 ENGLISH REHEA TING Y our microwave oven will reheat food in a fraction of the time that conventional ovens hobs normally take. Use the power levels and reheating times in the following chart as a guide.
28 ENGLISH REHEA TING LIQUIDS Always allow a standing time of at least 20 seconds after the oven has been switched o to allow the temper ature t o even out.

30 ENGLISH DEFROSTING Microwaves are an e xcellent way of defrosting fr oz en food. Microwaves gently defrost fro zen food in a short period of time. This can be of great advantage, if unexpected guests suddenly show up. F roz en poultry must be thoroughly thawed before cooking.

34 ENGLISH SPECIAL HINTS MEL TING BUTTER Put 50 g butt er into a small deep glass dish. Cover with plastic lid. Heat for 30-40 seconds using 900 W , until butter is melted. MEL TING CHOCOLA TE Put 100 g chocolat e into a small deep glass dish. Heat for 3-5 minutes, using 450 W until chocolate is melt ed.
