V acuum Cleaner Assemb l y 1 Stand the v acuum upright and slide the base of the handle fir mly into the groo ves at the top of the v acuum body . 2 Check to be sure the handle is fitted to the cleaner body . If there is a gap in front, continue to push fir mly until the handle is flush.
V acuum Cleaner Assemb l y 1 Wrap the cord around hooks f or storage . The top hook rotates right or left for easy cord release. 2 Attach the hose with two scre ws from the assembly pac ket. Tighten securely them with a screw driv er . 3 Snap the hose into the hose clip as shown.
The pow er control slide s witch is located on the front of the handle. This s witch also allows y ou to control the cleaning power . 1 Plug cord into electrical outlet. 2 T o tur n cleaner ON(I), slide the power s witch up . T o tur n cleaner OFF(O), slide the pow er s witch down.
Operation The pow erf oot on your SAMSUNG v acuum can be adjusted to clean sev eral floor surf aces. NO TE : For optimal cleaning perf ormance, adjust to the lowest practical setting. If y our cleaner is difficult to push, adjust to the ne xt higher setting.

Maintenance 9 9 The Dir t-Cup check Indicator on the front of the v acuum shows a red or green displa y . When the Dir t-Cup display is g reen, the Dir t-Cup is not yet full or the filter is not clogged. When the indicator tur ns to red, the Dir t-Cup needs to be emptied or the filter needs to be cleaned.
Maintenance 10 10 Chec k Rotating Floor Brush and Drive Belt Replace Drive Belt Y ou should chec k your v acuum cleaner ’ s Rotating Floor Brush and Drive Belt regularly for wear or damage . Y ou should also clean the brush and br ush ends of strings, hair , and car pet fibers.
Maintenance 11 11 Clearing Clogs Low suction or poor pic kup may be due to a clog in the v acuum cleaner . If you notice a change in the sound of the motor or a reduction in the spinning action, check f or clogs. 1 Unplug cleaner from electrical outlet.
