Installation Location • We recommend that this air conditioner be installed properly by qualified installation technicians in accordance with the Installation Instructions provided with the unit. • Before installation, check that the voltage of the electric supply in your home or office is the same as the voltage shown on the nameplate.
Names of Parts NOTE This illustration is based on the external appearance of a standard model. Consequently, the shape may differ from that of the air conditioner which you have selected. This air conditioner consists of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit.
Unit Display and Operation Selector Remote control receiver This section picks up infrared signals from the remote control unit (transmitter). Operation selector ON position This position is for operating the air conditioner with the wireless remote control unit.

Using the Remote Control Unit How to Install Batteries NOTE • The batteries last about six months, depending on how much you use the remote control unit. Replace the batteries when the remote control unit ' s display fails to indicate, or when the remote control cannot be used to change the air conditioner ’ s settings.

Operation with the Remote Control Unit 1. Automatic Operation NOTE Check that the circuit breaker on the power panel is turned on and that the operation selector of the indoor unit is in the ON position.

Operation with the Remote Control Unit (continued) NOTE • This appliance has a built-in 3-minute time delay circuit to ensure reliable operation. When the operation button is pressed, the compressor will start running within three minutes. In the event of power failure, the unit will stop.

The mark appears in the display . T o cancel the night setback function, press the NIGHT SETBACK button again.

CA UTION When the humidity is high, the ver tical v anes should be in the fr ont position dur ing the cooling or dehumidifying oper ation.
23 OI- 351 -23 E G Operation without the R emote Control Unit If you have lost the remote control unit or it has trouble, follow the steps below . 1. When the air conditioner is not running If you want to turn on the air conditioner , switc h the operation selector to the OFF position, and then to the ON position.
24 OI- 351 -24 E G 1. With the ˝FRON T˝ mark facing you, slide the anti-mold filter up into the unit and then lower the handle into the groove on the unit. 2. After installing the anti-mold filter , press the locations marked by the arrows ( ) and close the air intake grille.
