1 2 3 Attaching the handle PREPA RAT IONS BEFORE USE Caution : Do not connect the power cord plug to the wall outlet until assembly is completed. Set the vacuum cleaner to the upright position. The handle screw has been installed for shipping purposes.
1 1 2 2 5 Cord Storage Hooks PREPA RAT IONS BEFORE USE WINDING THE POWER CORD Hook the power cord over the clip which i s l ocated o n the upper c ord storage hook as shown. Wind the p ower cord a round the c ord storage hooks. RELEASING THE POWER CORD Rotate the upper cord storage hook downward.
Handle Release 6 USING THE VA CUUM CLEANER ON/OFF SWITCH Start or stop vacuum c leaner by pushing on the switch. ADJUSTING THE HANDLE The handle of t his vacuum cleaner can be set t o one of three positions-Upright,Normal,Parallel.
Install the wand to the hose. T o achieve maximum reach with the attachments,attach the crevice tool to the end of the wand. Securely and firmly connect the wand to the hose while twisting the wand, as shown in the illustration below . The upholstery tool & dusting brush can be attached directly to the wand, hose or the end of the crevice tool.

EMPTYING THE DUST COMPA RTMENT Caution: Be sure to turn the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning.
Dust Compartment Ribs 1 2 3 1 3 2 CLEANING THE FIL TERS Remove the dust compartment.(refer to page 8) T o maintain optimum suction power, the dust filter fins should be kept clean of dirt. Clean the filter fins free of dirt with the end of fork as shown.
Caution: Be sure to turn the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning the filters. Remove the filter cover . Gently clean the ai r outle t filter with w ater. CLEANING THE SUB-FILTER Clean the sub-filter when it becomes dirty.

2 1 1 Bottom Plate REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS REMOVING THE BOTTO M PLA TE Set the vacuum cleaner to the parallel position and turn it over . 3 Remove the bottom plate by pulling the tabs as illustrated. REA TT ACHING THE BOTT OM PLA TE Insert the projection on the bottom place into the groove on the nozzle head and set the bottom plate in place.
TROUBLESHOOTING If there is a problem with the vacuum cleaner, carry out the following checks to find the cause. If the problem still persists after the checks have been made, do not use the vacuum cleaner to prevent the possibility of an accident occurring.
