5 Overview This User Manual describes the opera tion and programming procedures for RFID smart labels (with embedded RFID tags) on the SATO GL4xxe series printers fitted with the RFID Kit.

30 3. GL RFI D Coupler Desi gn The G L 4 xx e RF ID has a couple r design that suppor ts a gr eate r var i ety of t ag t ype s. Yo u can move the coupler horiz ontally by using the couple r hand le. See figures on foll owing pages . The c ou pl er has fo ur pos i tio ns on a fo ur inch pr inte r.
31 4. Adjusting t he Coupler p osition Remove the thumbs crew that secures the lower front cover to the printer. Slide the cover to the left (toward t he electric al half of the pri nter) to remove it .
