8 Lyrion Series IDE Product M anual, Rev. E 2.7.2 Conducted noise Input noise ripp le is measured at th e host system powe r supply across an equivalent 15-ohm resistive load o n the +3.3 volt line. Using 3.3-volt power , the drive is expect ed to operate with a ma ximum of 70 m V peak-t o-peak squa re-wave injected nois e at up to 20 MHz.
Lyrion Series IDE Product Manual, Rev. E 9 2.7.4 Po wer-manage ment mod es The drive provides pro grammable power management to pr ovide gr eater energy ef fici ency . The drive features the following power-ma nagement modes: • Active mode The drive is in Active mode during the r ead/write and seek operations.
10 Lyrion Series IDE Product M anual, Rev. E 2.8 Environment al specifications 2.8.1 Ambie nt temperat ure Ambient temperatur e is defined as the temperatur e of the environment im mediatel y surrounding the drive. Actual drive case tempera t ure should not exceed 70°C (158°F) within the operating ambient cond itions.
Lyrion Series IDE Product Manual, Rev. E 11 2.8.5 Sho ck All shock measurement s in this section are carried out at drive level. For all linear shock test, operating or nonoperating, th e input shock level is measured at the fra me of the drive at the specif ic location as indic ated in Figure 3 below .
12 Lyrion Series IDE Product M anual, Rev. E 2.8.6.1 Operating sweep sine vibration The following lists the maximum operat ing sweep sine vibration levels that the drive may experience whil e meeting the perfor mance st andards s pecified. It consist s of a forwar d and backward sweep from 10 Hz to 500 Hz to 10 Hz.
Lyrion Series IDE Product Manual, Rev. E 13 2.8.6.4 Nonoperating random vibration The test consist s of 15 minutes of random vibra tion usin g the power spectral density (PSD) levels specified in the table b e low . The vibration test level is 3.01 Gs RM S.
14 Lyrion Series IDE Product M anual, Rev. E 2.9 Acoustics Drive acoustics are measured as ove rall A-weighted ac oustic sound power lev els (no pure tones). Discr ete tone penalties are a dded to the A-we ighted sound powe r (L W) with the following formula only when determin- ing compliance: L Wt(spec) == L W + 0.
