2 Intr oduction Thank you very much for purchasing your LED TV. It serves as a normal colour TV and a PC monitor . T o enjoy your set fully from the very beginning, read this manual carefully and keep it handy for future reference. 5 Caution Caution Never stand on, lean on or suddenly push the pro duct or its stand. Y ou should pay special attention to c h i l d r e n . Caution Do not pla ce the main unit on an unstable cart stand, shelf or table. Serious injury to an individual and damage to the television may result if it should fall.
6 Television Antenna Connection Protection External T elevision Antenna Grounding If an outside antenna or cable system is to be c onnected to the TV , make sure that the antenna or cable system is electrically grounded to prov ide some protection against voltage sur ges and static charges.
7 Attaching or Removing the Stand 1. T o attach the base place the display unit flat on a table. Afterwards attach the stand onto the bottom of the stand.
8 2. T o remove the stand, remove the 4 screws in the area and the stand will come off. Installing Batter ies to the Remote Control Please insert two AAA batteries into the remote c ontrol. Make sure that you match the (+) and (-) symbols on the batteries with the (+) and (-) symbols inside the battery com partment.
9 Identifying Front and Rear Panel Front View Rear View Mounting Pattern INDICA TOR LIGHT – The lig ht i s red w hen power is pl u gge d in but th e TV is not tur ne d on. The light turns blue when the TV is turned on. Because of the LED in the panel, the TV might take 10 – 12 seconds to power on.
10 If You Have Digital Cable without Cable Box or Antenna… 1. Make sure the power of HDTV is turned off. 2. Connect the Coaxial RF cable fro m your antenna or digital cable to the TV port on the back of your HDTV . 3. T urn on the HDTV . 4. Follow the fir st time on screen instructions.
11 Connecting DVD Player with Component YPbPr… 1. Make sure the power of HDTV and yo ur DVD play er is turned of f. 2. Obtain a Component Cable. Connect the green color connector to both your DV D player and YPbPr ’ s green connector port on the back of your HDTV .
12 Connecting Wii™ with Composite… 1. Make sure the power of HDTV and your W ii™ is turned off. 2. Obtain a Y ellow V ideo Cable. Connect the Y ellow V ideo connector to both your W ii™ and A V’ s Y ellow V ideo connector port on the back side of your HDTV .
13 Connecting Cable or Satellite boxes with HDM I… 1. Make sure the power of HDTV and yo ur set-top box is turned off. 2. Connect a HDMI cable to the HDMI output of your set-top box and the other en d to the HDMI port on the back of your HDTV . 3. T urn on the HDTV and your set-top box.
14 Connecting to a PC with VGA and 3.5 mm minijack … 1. Make sure the power of HDTV and yo ur PC is turned off. 2. Obtain a 15-p in D-Sub VG A cable; connect to the VGA output of your PC and th e other end to the VGA port on the back of your HDTV . 3.
15 Connecting a Digital Audio Receiver with Coax SPDIF… 1. Make sure the power of HDTV and your receiver is t urned of f. 2. Obtain a coax SPDIF cable , connect it to y our receiver ’ s coax SPDIF digital input and the coax SPDIF connection on the LINE OUT port on the back of the HDTV .

Rem ote contr ol POWER : Po wer on/off button, press once to turn the TV on a nd press again to turn the TV off. MUTE: Press this button to mute or restore sound. MTS/AUDIO : When stereo program is r eceived, press this key to switch sound system between mono a nd stereo.

19 SOUND Y ou can select the type of sound, whic h best corresponds to your listening. Press the “MENU” button t o enter the OSD menu .Then press “ / ” button to selec t the “SOUND” menu . 1. Press “ ” but ton t o select “Sound Mode” and Press “ / ” button to select.
20 2. Press “ / ” butt on to sel ect “T ime Zone” and press the “ / ” button to enter time zone adjustment menu to sel ect the local time zone. 3. Press “ / ” button to select “Daylight Saving Tim e” and press the “ / ” button to select “On” or “Of f”.

24 Channel Press the “MENU” but ton to enter the OSD menu .Then press “ / ” button to select the “Channel” menu. 1. Pre ss “ ” button to select “AIR/CLABLE ” and press the “ / ”button to select Cable or AIR.
25 6. Press “ / ” but ton t o select “Channel Label ” and press the “ / ” b utton to Rename label of the channel. A Sub Menu will appear as below . 7. “DTV Signal” Display the quality of current DTV sign al. NOTE : This i s not a choice.
6 2 IMPOR T ANT 1. Th e power ca b le has t o be removed from the socket before cleani ng the TV . 2. D o n o t us e v olatile s ol ven t ( alc oho l, ros in , and toluene) to clean the TV . These types of chemicals might damage the housing and the LCD glass.
Troubleshooting The following table contains the common problems and the solu tions to these problems. Ple ase check this list before you contact th e technicians. Pr oblems Solutions NO PICTURE Connect pow er cord correctly . T urn on power . Connect vide o cable correctly .
28 Pr oblems Solutions TV CHANNELS ARE BLOC KED Check y our auto lock function’ s settings inside the OSD. Y ou may have locked up som e channels but for got about them. UNIVERS AL REMOTE CODE This TV follows NEC’ s universal remote code. Please check y our hand book for NEC’ s codes then apply them.
29 PICTURE QUALIT Y IS HORRIBLE!! For best image quality , view HD widescreen programs where possible. If HD content is not available view “S tand ard Definition” from a digital source.
30 Problem s Soluti ons SWITCHING A CHANNEL OR SOURCE CHANGES THE VOLUME Different channels and inputs will so metimes have this ef fect because the channel signal’ s own volume is already loud. There is no way remove this completely . The TV has an AUT O VOLUME LEVEL function that can combat this type of effect.
