17 Putting the RS 170 into operation Charging the headphones’ rechargeable batteries Charge the rechargeable batteries for at least 16 hours prior to first t ime use. Subsequent chargi ng time is ab out half of the previous operating time. The operating time i s up to 24 hours.

19 Using the RS 170 Switching the transmitter off 왘 Press the multi-fu nction button 햵 for approx. 1 second. The multi-fun ction button 햵 goes off. The transmitter is in standby mode. T o disconnect the transmitter from the mains: 왘 Pull out th e mains plug from the wall socket.

21 Using the RS 170 Adjusting the volume on the headphones 왘 Press the VO LU M E – button 쐆 or the VOL UM E + button 쐄 repeatedly until the volume is adjusted to a comfortable and undistorted level. Muting the headphones 왘 Briefly press the mult i-function button 쐂 to mute the headphones or to cancel the muting.

T o activate 3D surround soun d: 왘 Press the SURR butto n 쐊 on the headphones or the SURROUND button 햴 on the transmitter.
23 Using the RS 170 Activating/d eactivating the dynamic b ass boost You can activate or deactivate the dynamic bass bo ost on the transmitter or directly on your headphones. T o activate the dyn amic bass boost: 왘 Press the BASS button 쐎 on the headphones or the BASS butto n 햳 on the transmitter.
Using the RS 170 24 Associating the headphones to the transmitter The headphones and the transmitter ar e already associated upon delivery. You only have to associate the headphones to the transmitter.

In order to be a b l e t o l i s t e n t o y o u r s o u n d s o u r c e w i t h s e v e r a l h e a d p h o n e s simultaneou sly, you ha ve to set you r transmitter t o multi-us er operation.
