Introduction 1 Introduction MegaPower 48 is a matrix sw itcher/controller sy stem with a broad range of functionality . System features for initial release include: ● Matrix s ize of 48 v ideo in pu.
MegaPower 48 Syste m Programm ing & Operating Manual 2 ● The Camera Title consists of two lines of up to eight ch aracters for each lin e. A discus sion of camera title en try is provided in the sectio n on menu pro gramming. ● The current Date can be prov ided in one of three diff erent form ats .
Basic User Task s 3 Logging on to the System To lo g on to the system : 1. Enter the u ser code assig ned by the sy st em admi nistrator on the nu meric k ey pad. 2. Press the ACK key. The sy stem prom pts f or the us er passcode by displaying “PSC" in the CAMERA display.

There are eight independent speed levels for the up, dow n, left, and rig ht directions. Center the joystick wh en the cam era has been positioned app ropriately.
Basic User Task s 5 2. Press the MON key to gain control of the monitor. The mon itor num ber will appear in the MONIT OR/VCR displa y. The ENT ER disp lay will clear. 3. Enter the sy st em tou r num ber to be associated with the m onitor under control.

Advanced User Task s 7 Advanced User Task s (keyswitch in AD2088 PROGRAM position) This section pro vides step-by-step instructions for key board op erations performed w ith the k eysw itch in the PROGRAM position. In this m ode, you can set presets, s cratch- pad tours, pat terns, an d m acros.

Advanced User Task s 9 To program a m acro: 1. Turn the key switch to the Pr ogram position. 2. Enter th e number of the macro (ran ge = 1-1000). Note: each macro key can have multiple sw itching sequences and theref ore multiple num b ers associated w ith the key.

Com plete the m acro programm ing on one key board. 2. Set the k ey board and correspon ding MegaPow er 48 port to the appro priate baud rate.

Menu Programming 25 PRE / PTN (preset/pattern) – a preset is a particular pre- program med cam era view determ ined by a cam era with pan/tilt and/or lens adjustment capability. In MegaPow er 48, presets rang e from 1 to 96. A pattern is a series of pre-prog rammed cam era view s programm ed in real tim e.

Menu Programming 27 Alarm Monitor/Contact (TBL ) Call Up Differen t m onitor/contact tables can be programm ed to define which alarm contacts are arm ed for each m onitor in the sy stem. The Monitor/Contact def ault table (indicated by dashes) defines monitor/con tact associations used in an alarm sy stem active 24 hours /day, s even day s/week.

Menu Programming 29 To change the acces s to a m onitor from a keyboard: 1. Move the cursor to the appropriate monitor and key board locatio n. 2. Press the ENTER key. Each time the ENTER key is pressed the menu setting toggles be tween yes and no . 3.

Without access, s elected key boards cannot control pan/tilt/lens fun c tions on selected cameras. This feature only preven ts control of a camera - it does not prevent view ing of the cam era.
Menu Programming 31 Monitor/Camera Access This m enu defines the m onitor/camera access, w hich prevents monitors f rom view ing selected cameras . In this m enu, the mon itor controls w hat can be seen on itself. If acces s is denied, th e selected camera cannot be called to the selected monitor from any key board.

Note: the NEXT key selects the character position (including blank spaces) to edit in the m essage. Using the Page Right key , the user can select up to 128 screens , w hich dis p lay th e 512 alarm s that can be in put to th e MegaPower 48 patc h panel via th e AD2096A alarm in terface unit.
