Successful application and operation of this equipment depends as much upon proper installation and maintenance b y the user as it does upon the proper design and fabrication by Siemens.

General descr iption Introduction Siemens type V ector® manual gr oup- operated air switch is pr ecision built equipment designed to function efficiently under normal operating conditions.
General descr iption Scope These instructions cover the installation, operation and maintenance of a Siemens type V ector® manual gr oup-operated air switch. The equipment designs described in this instruction manual consists of group-operat ed air switch f or application up to 38.
Receiving, handling and storag e Receiving Each type V ector® manual g roup-operated air switch is securely bloc ked and braced for shipment on a palle t. It is crated, bo xed or cover ed as req uired by shipping conditions. If special handling is requir ed, it is so indicated.
Receiving, handling and storag e 3. Any visible damage must be no ted on the delivery receipt and acknow ledged with the driver’s signature. The damage should be detailed as much as possible. It is es sential that a notation "possible int ernal damage, subject to inspection" be included on delivery receipt.

Installation Installation Installation instructions for the type V ector manual group-operat ed air switch are detailed in the f ollowing steps: 1. Drill two mounting holes 11/16" in diamet er located per the user's construction standards and spaced per Siemens assembly dra wing.
