In this brief guide you will find instr uctions for inser ting, placing and adjusting your hearing instruments. Ther e are also tips and inf ormation on correct handling, cleaning, care and bat tery changing.

7 Pro Batt ery c hanging When inserting the battery please pa y at tention to the plus side on the bat tery . The plus (+) side of the bat tery is al ways the smooth side. Y ou can recognise the minus (–) side b y the coloured ring. Y ou should al ways k eep spare batteries at hand.
8 W ARNING Keep bat teries aw ay from childr en! B at teries must not be swallo wed. Remo ve the bat teries when the instrument is not in use ov er a prolonged period.
9 Pro 2 If you do not w ant to use the volume contr ol, y our hearing instrument specialist can also s witch it of f . INFINITI P ro hearing instr u- ments are fully automatic. It is theref ore not necessary f or you to c hange the loud- ness manually .
10 How to select the pr ograms INFINITI P ro has 4 hearing progr ams. P rogram 1 to 3 is selected with the program but ton. P rogram 4 is activ ated by the audio shoe. Eac h time when the instrument diverts between the progr ams, the r espective progr am is confirmed by beep tones.
11 Pro Telecoil The telecoil is intended f or telephone con ver sations and f or using induction loops, e.g. in chur ches, theaters or lect ure rooms. In order to be able to use the telephone coil, your telephone also must be suitable f or hearing instr uments and emit an adequate magnetic field.
12 Safety not e for instruments with audio input The audio input can only be connected to po wer supplied devices if the y fulfil at least the saf et y pro visions of IEC 65 / DIN VDE 0860. Y our hearing instrument has an audio input. This enables accessories to be connected.
13 Pro Y our instruments ar e equipped with a bat tery compartment lock. This is intended to pre vent the unintentional remo val of bat teries from their com- partment, suc h as by small childr en. To lock the bat tery com- partment open the battery compartment up to the first stop.

27 Pro S How to switc h your instrument on /off The re are 2 ways to s witch y our Instruments ON/OFF . First wa y Pr ess the bat tery compartment to the rear up to the first stop in order to switc h OFF the instrument. Please note: if you pr ess further than to the fir st stop, the bat tery might fall out! (see fig.
28 To unlock the bat tery compar tment again, open the bat tery compartment up to the first stop. P ush the slide in the bat tery compartment to the left with a suitable tool. If you f eel you cannot do this y ourself , y our hearing instrument specialist will be pleased to help you.

Make sur e that your hearing instrument is t urned off . T he bat tery compartment must be opened up to the stop. Grip the ear mould between your thumb and index finger and place the tip carefully into y our auditory canal. Y ou may find it helpful to pull your ear slightly upw ards or to the rear .
33 T ip: Practice inser ting and removing your hearing instruments correctly . One easy way to practice is to sit down at a table. Place a mirror in front of you and prop your elbows on the table so you can guide your hands easily and safely . This will help you stay relaxed and comfor table while you practice.
So-called zinc-air bat teries are used today almost e xclusiv ely in hearing instruments to minimize en vironmental damage. T hese batteries requir e oxy gen f or operation, which the y absorb from the air . The bat tery is activated as soon as the protectiv e f oil is pulled of f and is used up even if you do not use y our hearing instrument.
All Not es for cleaning and c are It is essential to detach the ear mould from your behind- the-ear instrument and place it in a cleaning bath f or at least 1 5 minutes.
36 T wo more tips: Y ou should place your hearing instruments in a “dry bag“ with a special moist ure-at tracting capsule overnight. The drying capsule draws damaging moisture out of the instruments.
37 T he best way to handle y our hearing instruments Y our new hearing instr uments are highly sensitiv e instruments. This nat urally requires some care in their handling .
38 Impor t ant t ips: How to solve failures y ourself In selecting your MUSIC Pro hearing instr uments you ha ve chosen e xtremely dependable devices. H owever , should a fault occur , it can usually be cor rected quic kly . If the instrument whistles T est the instrument yourself by covering the sound outlet opening with your fingertip.
All 39 If the hearing instrument is too q uiet Most likely , you need to inser t a new bat tery . If it is still too quiet, clean the instrument or the ear mould and hearing tube, following the directions in the c hapt er “Notes for cleaning and care “ .
40 S ome useful t ips: Never expose your hearing instruments to extreme temperatures or high humidity . Never let them lie in the blazing sun. Do not wear them when taking a shower or when using hairspray .

Every per son reacts dif fer ently the first time he or she wears a hearing instrument. The f amiliarisation phase theref ore dif fer s from person to per son.
Get used to conversations in a group Conv ersation in a gr oup of people speaking among themselves is one of the most dif ficult hearing situations. T ry to distinguish bet w een the voices b y noting their specific tonal colour and their c haracteristic rhythm, and fit them to the individual persons.
T elephoning with your hearing instrument Ther e are two dif f erent methods f or telephoning while wearing y our hearing instrument: 1 . Using the normal hearing program: The sound from the telephone receiv er is absorbed dir ectly by the micr ophone of your hearing instrument.
