2 Your new washer-dryer You have chosen a Siemens washer-dryer. Please take a few minutes to read and beco me familiar with the advantages of your washing machine. To meet the high quality demand s required by Siemens, every washer-dryer that leaves our factor y is carefully checked to ensure that it functions correctly and is in perfect condition.

4 General safety information Intended use – For private domestic use only. – The washer dryer is suitable for machine washable textiles and hand washable wool and for drying certai n types of textiles according t o care instructions.
5 Safety for children Wa r n i ng Danger of death! If children play with the washer dryer, they ma y get into life- threate ning situations or injure themselv es. – Do not leave children unattend ed near the washer dryer. –D o n o t l e t c h i l d r e n p l a y with the washer dryer.
6 En vironmental prot ection/ econom y tips – Separate out the variou s waste materials of the packaging and take them to th e neares t colle ction po int. – Always fill the appliance with the maximum amount of l aundry for each programme. – Wash normally soiled lau ndry without a prewash.
7 Y our new w asher -dr y er Description of the washer dryer The washer-dryer can be used in 3 ways → page 17: – washing only, – drying only, – successive washing and drying. The successive wash-dry programme sh ifts automatically from the wash cycle to the dry cycle without further intervention.
8 Control panel Indicator lamps Indicate the settings that have been selected fo r: – Spin speed: $ - 1400 rpm (depending on the model). – Washing options / signal. Display panel Shows the settings that have been selected (e.g. spin speed, drying time), the progress of the current pr ogramme and the programme status.
9 Bef ore washing f or the first time Preparing and sor ting the laundr y The washer-dryer was tested before leaving the factory. To remove any wate r that may be left over from the test, d o not load any laundry the firs t time that you run a wash programme.
10 Sorting laundr y for dr ying Only dry laundry that is l abelled "suitable for tumble -drying" or which has the following care symbols: Do not wash the following fabrics i n the washer-dryer: – Laundry with t he care symbol b . – Airtight fabrics (e.
11 Detergents and Care Products Detergent dr awer The detergent drawer is d ivided into three compartments Compartment I : detergent for prewash. Compartment II : detergent for main wash, Compartment i : Liquid additives, such as starch or fabric softener .
12 Normally soiled laundry Set the programme. Do not select ! (Prewash) → page 15. Add all the detergent, according to the manufacturer's instr uctions, to compartment II of the dete rgent drawer. Heavily soiled laundry Set the programme.
13 Programmes Programme selector The programme selector is used to set the washing and drying programmes. The time rema ining until the end of th e programme and the reco mmended load are shown on the display pa nel. W ashing progr ammes Cottons Suitable for hard-wearing fabrics, heat -resistant fabrics made from cotton or linen.
14 Special programmes Fluff Clean The drum must be empty. This programme is des igned to clean th e drying cycle of any fluff deposits. The washer-dryer uses the flashing symbol l ( Fluff removal cycle ) in the display panel to show that this programme must be run.
15 W ashing and dr ying options Spin rpm button The spin speed can be individually adjusted for each progr amme. To set the spin speed, press the Spin rp m button repeatedly until the required spin speed is displayed. $ (Rinse stop) deactivates the spin function.
16 Dr y button The drying pro grammes → page 13 can be individually a dapted by selecting the drying time. – Press the Dry button repeatedly until the required drying time is shown on the display pa nel. – To deactivate, pres s the Dry button repeatedly until is shown on the display pa nel.
17 W ashing and dr ying W ashing only Set the programme selector to the desired programme, e.g. Cottons 60°C . – 0 (Remaining time) and the re commended load in kg are shown alternately on the display panel.
18 End of the programme The washing and dr ying programme s are ended automati cally. appears on the dis play panel. Set the program selector to Off . Remove the washing from the dr um. Leave the door open so that the inside of the washer-dryer can dry out.
19 Cleaning and care Safety information Risk of electric shock You must disconnect the appliance fr om the mains first. Never clean the washer-dryer with a water jet! Risk of explosion. Never clean the washer-d ryer with solvents. Risk of scalding Hot washing water must be cooled before draining.
20 Drain pump Take the drain hose out of the reta iner. Remove the plug from the drain hose and release the washing water. – The container for the drained wate r may have to be emptied several times. – When no more water runs out, replace the plug.
21 What t o do if... Risk of electric shock. Repairs must only be carried out by customer services or autho rised technicians. If repairs are needed, or if you cannot rectify a fault yourself wi th the help of the fo llowing table: Set the program selector to Off .
22 Water is not flowing in. The mains plug is not correctly plugged in. Plug in the mains plug correctly. The door is not prop erly closed. Close the door. The tap is not turned on. Turn on the tap. The filter in the wa ter supply hose is blocked. Clean the filt er in th e water supply hose → page 20.
23 Drying result not satisfactory . The laundry clings to the sides of the drum after being spun. Loosen up the laund ry by hand; start the drying programme → page 17. Closed tap Maximum load excee ded. Drying time selected too shor t. Turn on the tap.
24 Af ter -sales ser vice Before you call the afte r-sales service, please check whether you can correct the fault yourself → page 21. You will be charged if a techni cian is called out, even during th e warranty period.
25 Installation instructions Safety information The washer-dryer is very heavy. Take care when lifting it. Do not operate the washer-dryer if it has any visible damage. If you are in any doubt, please consult our afte r-sales service or your retailer.
26 Included with the appliance On the back of the washer dryer: –W a t e r d r a i n h o s e – Water supply hose – Mains cable with plug – Instruction manual and booklet containing after-sales service addresses Moisture may remain in the drum fo llowing the final inspecti on which every washer-drye r undergoes before leaving th e factory.
27 Pos i t io n i n g Slide sheets facili tate the insertion of the washer-dryer into the i nstallation space. These can be ordered from the after-sales serv ice, spare part no. 66 1827. Moisten the slide sheets with a mixture of water and washing-up liquid before sliding the washer-dryer into place.

29 W ater d rainage – Do not kink the drain hose or pull it lengthways. – Height difference between the installati on surface and th e drain: max. 90 cm, min. 50 cm. Secure the connection with the 24-40 mm hose clamp (included with the appliance).
