10 Setting up and connecting KH 2420 GB IE CY Inserting t he batteries By inserting the batteries you can avoid the loss of progr ammed time of day and alarm wak e time in the event of a possible po wer outage. The batteries mak e sure that the internal clock continues to run e ven during a pow er outage.

12 Handling and operation KH 2420 GB IE CY Setting the dis play illumination Press the DIMMER button 11 to set the display illumination. Setting options: Bright/Dimmed/Off Adjus ting the volume. With the VOL UME controller 18 set the desired sound le vel.

14 Handling and operation KH 2420 GB IE CY Snooze function ("SNOOZE" function) Whilst the alarm is sounding press the SNOO ZE button 10 to temporarily switch off the alarm. In the display 5 appears the indicator "SNOO ZE". After 9 minutes the alarm sounds again.
15 Handling and operation KH 2420 GB IE CY Inserting a CD Open the CD compartment on the top of the device (OPEN/CL OSE 2 ). Insert a CD with the inscripted side up. Close the CD compartment. The entire list of titles on the CD is shown in the display 5 .

NOTICE Y ou can fi rst press the PLA Y/P AUSE button ► 16 and then the RAND button 12 or press the RAND button 12 only to star t random playback.
