About this document This manual is intended for administrators and users of AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera, and is applicable to rmware 5.55 and later . It includes instructions for using and managing the product on your network. Previous experience of networking will be of use when using this product.
Safety This product complies with IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 and IEC/EN/UL 60950-22, Safety of Information Technology Equipment. The product shall be grounded either through a shielded network cable (STP) or other appropriate method.

AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product The default administrator user name root is permanent and cannot be deleted. If the password for root is lost, the product must be reset to the factory default settings. See Reset to Factory Default Settings on page 56 .

AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. T o open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Video H.264 H.264, also known as MPEG-4 P art 1 0/AVC, is a video compression standard that provides high quality video streams at low bit rates. An H.264 video stream consists of different types of frames such as I-frames and P-frames.
AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Video Camera Settings The Video > Camera Settings page provides access to advanced image settings for the Axis product. Image Appearance Increasing the Color level increases the color saturation. The value 1 00 gives maximum color saturation.

AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) Near focus limit is used to prevent the camera from autofocusing on objects close to the camera. This way , the camera can ignore objects such as overhead wires, streetlights, or other cameras placed close to the camera.

For example, if the tilt control is disabled, the product can still move to preset positions that require a tilt movement. Control Queue The administrator can set up a queue for PTZ controllers from PTZ > Control Queue .

Shock detection is used, for example, to generate an alarm if the product is hit by an object. Use the Shock sensitivity slider to adjust the sensitivity level at which the product should send an alarm upon being hit.

The lower sensitivity selected on the Sensitivity bar , the greater difference in luminance is needed between the object and the background for the detector to be activated.
AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Detectors 2. Choose Object size from the drop-down list. Set the size limits of the object that should be detected. The camera will detect any object whose size falls in between the minimum (blue shape) and maximum (white shape) range.

Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Events - Live Stream Accessed – T rigger the rule when any stream is accessed and during edge storage playback. This can for example be used to send notications. - Motion Detection – T rigger the rule when motion is detected.
AXIS Q6045-E Mk II PTZ Dome Network Camera Events - System Ready – Trigger the rule when the product has been started and all services are running. This can for example be used to send a notication when the product restarts. • Time - Recurrence – T rigger the rule periodically .
