O pen the comp uter Before removing any panels o r covers, please make sure to shut off the computer a nd unplug the power cord from the o utlet.

9 English Setting up yo ur comp u te r Aspire T1 00 is a versatile , high-powe r system, supporti ng Intel Socket 478 CP U s. The computer use s P eripheral Compon ent Interface (PCI) and Accelerated Gra phics Port ( A GP ) design. This im proves system efficiency and help s the sys te m support varied multimedia and software appli cations.

11 English Starting your computer After connecting all th e peripheral equipm ent, start your compu t e r according to t h e below steps: 1 Powe r on all periphe ral equipmen t, such as monito r, printer, fax, spe akers etc. 2 Turn on the system. 15 English 2 Remove the 4 screws fixing HDD to the chassis. 3 Gently remove the HDD from the drive bay. 4 Reinstall the HDD: a Insert the HDD into the bay. b Replace the 4 screws t o secure th e drive. 5 Conne ct the cables to the mainboard. Installin g PCI cards Install PCI card 1 Find an empty PCI slot on the mother board.
