Introduction 1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE AND PR OPER USE THIS MANUAL IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLIANCE AND THEREFORE MUST BE KEPT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND IN A N ACCESSIBLE PLACE FOR THE WHOLE WORKING LIFE OF THE H OB. WE ADVISE READING THIS MANUAL AND ALL THE INSTR UCTIONS THEREIN BEFORE USING THE HOB.
Introduction THE IDENTIFICATION PLATE, WITH TECHNICAL DATA, SERIAL NUMBER AND MARKING IS CLEARLY VISIBLE UNDER TH E CASING. THE PLATE ON THE CASING MUST NOT BE REMOVED. BEFORE CONNECTING THE DEVICE, MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS BEEN REGULATED FOR THE TYPE OF GAS THAT WILL FEED IT, CHECKING THE LABEL UNDER THE CASING.
Instructions for the installer 6 2. POSITIONING OF THE HOB It is the law that all gas appliances are install ed by authorised persons . Clearance around the a ppliance must comply with t he requirements of AS5601. The following oper ation requires buildi ng and/or carpentry work so must be carried out by a competent tradesman.

Instructions for the installer 9 2.3 Room ventilation Caution – This hob may only be installed and operat ed in rooms permanently ventilat ed in accordance with curre nt regulations. For proper operation of a gas appliance it is essential for the air nec essary for combustion of the gas to be able to flow natur ally into the r oom.
Instructions for the installer 10 3. GAS CONNECTION This appliance is s uitable for installati on with Natural Gas or ULPG (propane). Refer to page 12 for the relevant burner pressure and appropri ate injector sizes. When the appliance is to be con nected to Natural Gas then the pressure regulator supplied must be fitted to the gas inlet.
Instructions for the installer 11 4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Make sure that the voltage and capacit y of the power l ine conform to the data shown on the plate locat ed under the casing.
Instructions for the installer 12 5. AD APT A TION T O DIFFERENT TYPES OF GAS Before performing any cleaning or maintenance work, detach the appliance from the electrical socket. The hob has been adjusted for natural gas at a pressure of 1.0kPa. For functioning with other types of gas the nozzles must be replace d and the primary air adjusted.
Instructions for the installer 13 5.2 Adjustment for LPG Loosen screw A and push supp ort B all the way. Use a do uble head wrench to remove nozzle C a nd assemble the suitabl e one, following the instructions indicated in the referenc e charts, with respect to the type of gas to use.
Instructions for the installer 14 5.3 Adjustment for natural gas The hob has been adjusted for natural gas at a pressure of 1.0kPa. To allow the unit to work back with this ty pe of gas, after it has been adjusted for LPG, perform the same oper ations described in paragraph “ 5.
Instructions for the installer 15 6.2 Arrangement of burners on the hob Burners 1 Auxiliar y 2 Semi rapid 3 - 6 Rapid 4 Wok 5 Wok ( dual control) 6.3 Lubrication of gas taps With time it may happen that t he gas taps get blocked and hard to turn. Clean them inside and re-grease them.
Instructions for the user 16 7. USING THE HOB Before turni ng on the burners, make sure th at the burner rings, ca ps and grids have b een fitted correctly. In the wok burner, notch A must be aligned with pin B . Grid C provided is intended for use with woks (Chinese pans).
Instructions for the user 17 7.2 Practical advice for using the burners For better use of the burners a nd lower gas consumption, use covere d contai ners that are proportional in size to the burner to preve nt the flame from licking the sides (see paragraph “ 7.
Instructions for the user 18 7.4 Electric elements 7.4.1 Turning on electric elements Hobs may be fitted with an electric element of varying diameter. The electric eleme nt is controlled by a switch and is turned on by rotating the appropriate knob to the desired pos ition.
Instructions for the user 19 WARNING When switching on the el ectric element for the first time, or if the electric element has not been used for a long time, to remo ve any humidity from the insulating material it should be dried out by placing the electric element on position 1 for 30 minutes.
Instructions for the user 20 8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Before any intervention, disconnect the p ower supply of the device. 8.1 Cleaning Clean the top regularly every time you use it, obvious ly after it has cooled.
Instructions for the user 21 8.3 Preventive maintenance This appliance does not need any s pecial maintenance. Ho wever, a few simple operations have to be carried out periodically to prevent malfunct.
