Installation instructions 2.1 Water supply conne ction Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the w ater pipe is new or has not been used for a long tim e, before connecting to the water supply check that the water is cl ear and free of impurities, to prevent damage to the appliance.

User instructions 3. Operating instructions Once the di shwasher ha s been correctly insta lled, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the water softeni ng system; • Add the rege nerating sa lt; • Add the rin se aid and deter gent.
User instructions • Do not use table salt as it contains i nsoluble sub stances whic h, over time, m ay damage the wa ter softenin g system. • When neces sary, refill the regen erating salt conta iner befo re starting the washi ng program .
User instructions ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formatio n of scale deposits and staining; it is automat ically added to the water during the fin al rinse cyc le, from the cont ainer situated on t he inner si de of the door.

LOADING THE LOWER BASKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, de ssert and serv ing dishes, positioning them v ertically.

Long items of cutlery (ladles, wooden spoon s, kitchen kn ives, etc.), which mi ght interfere w ith the upper spray arm must be placed in the upper basket , ensuring that kn ife tips d o not project fro m the basket.
User instructions UPPER BASKET It is recom mended to load t he upper basket with small- or medi um-sized items s uch as gl asses, smal l plates, tea or coffee cup s, shallow bow ls and light object s made fro m heat resistant plastic.
User instructions ADJUSTING THE UPPER BASKET T he upper basket can be adjust ed in two positions , according to the us er’s needs and according to th e height of the d ishes in the lower basket. Pro ceed as follow s. • pull out the b asket to its l imit position and pull the right side upwards.

48 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLO NGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposit s of sludge or r ust inside the water pipe: if there are, allow the w ater to run from the water supply tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into t he socket.
49 If the dishes fail t o dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rins e aid insi de the special container; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is corr ect; • the deterg ent used is of good qua lity and has n ot lost its effectivene ss (for exam ple, through in correct stora ge, with the b ox left open).
