Safety instructions 2 1. Safety and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLIANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CA REFULLY REA D ALL THE INSTRUCTI ONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.

Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene b asket retainers. Position the applianc e in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may b e placed up against walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long t ime, before connecti ng to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of i mpurities, to prevent dama ge to the appliance.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 13 TO CHAN GE A PROGRA M To change the running pr ogram it is necessa ry: • to interrupt the running progr am (see “ I NTERRUPTING A PROGRA M ”); • select the new program; • to press again the START/STOP button (7) to make start the new program.
User instructions 14 DELAYING THE PROGRA M (on some models only) (available in all programs except the so a k program) The PROGRA M DELAY button (6) can be pressed to dela y the start of the program b y up to 12 hours . This means th at the dishwa sher can be operated at the time of day of your cho ice.
User instructions 15 HALF LOA D WASH FUNCTION (on some models only) This function is recommended for loads of up to 7 place-settin gs , and cuts down on the use of water and electricit y. By pressing the ½ LOAD WA SH (4) button it is possible to select onl y one basket washing (upper or lower).
User instructions 16 TO SAVE ON ENERGY! … AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT • Always try to run the dishwas her fully loaded . • Do not wash the dishes in runnin g w ater. • Use the washing program that is most appropriate for each type of load. • Do not carry out any preliminary rinsing.
User instructions 17 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwash er has been correctl y installed, prepa re for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deter gent.
User instructions 18 • Do not use tab le salt as it contains insolubl e substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r egenerating salt container before starting the washing prog ram .

User instructions 20 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dis hes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale depos its and staining; it is automatic ally added to the water during the final rins e cycle, from the containe r situated on the inner side of the door.

User instructions 22 • "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which alre ady contain salt and rins e aid, check whether your d ishwasher is fitted w ith the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and then ref er to the section which explains h ow to use this function.
User instructions 23 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in pla ce so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms duri ng the washing cycle. • Do not place very small objects in the bask ets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the w ash pump.
User instructions 24 4.4 Using the baskets The dish washer has a capacity of 12 place-setting s , including serv ing dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives t he full force of the lower spray arm, and should therefore be used for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degre e of soiling.
User instructions 25 CUTLERY BASKET The cutlery should be arra nged in an orderl y manner inside the basket, with the handles poi nting downwards. T ake care during lo ading to avoid injury from the knife blad es. The b asket is suitabl e for al l t ypes of cutlery, except those long enough to interfere with the upper s pray arm.
User instructions 26 The top baske t is fitted (on the left) with two plastic racks which can be raised to make room for tall glasses, such as stem glasses. On the right there are two cutler y racks designed to take knives and teaspoons; when not in use, they can be left vertical, a ttached to the basket.
