Introduction 1. INSTR UCTIONS FOR SA FE AND PR OPER USE THIS MANUAL IS AN INTE GRAL PART OF THE APPLIANCE AND THEREFORE MUST BE KEPT I N ITS ENTIRETY AND I N AN ACCESSIBLE PLACE FOR THE WHOLE WORKING LIFE OF THE COOKING HOB. WE ADVISE READING THIS MANUAL AND ALL THE INSTRUCTI ONS THEREIN BEFORE USING THE COOKING H OB.
Introduction THE IDENTIFICATION PLATE, WITH TECHNIC AL DATA, SERIAL NUMBE R AND MARKING IS CLEARLY VISIBLE UNDER THE CASING. THE PLATE ON THE CASING MUST N OT BE REMOVED. BEFORE CONNECTING THE DEVICE, MAKE SURE THAT IT H AS BEEN REGULATED FOR THE TYPE OF GAS THAT WILL FEED IT, CHECKING THE LABEL UNDER THE CASING.
Instructions for the installer 6 2. POSITIONING OF HOB It is the law that all gas applia nces are installed by authorised persons . Clearance around th e appliance must com ply with the requireme nts of AS5601. The following operation r equires bu ilding and/or carpentry w ork so must be carried out by a competent tradesman.
Instructions for the installer In case of installation on a hollo w compartment with doors, a separating panel has to be placed under the hob. Keep a minimum distance of 10 mm between the bottom of the unit and the panel surface. The panel has to be easily removable to allow access in the event of te chnical service.

Instructions for the installer Where B , measured from the periphery of the nearest bur ner to any vertical com bustible surface , is less than 20 0 mm , the surface shall be protected in accordance wit h Clause 5.12 .1.2 to a height C of not less than 150 mm above the hob for the full dime nsion (width or depth) of the cooking surfac e area.
Instructions for the installer 10 2.3 Room ventilation Caution – This hob may only be insta lled and op erated in rooms permanently v entilated in a ccordance wit h current regulations. For proper operation of a gas applia nce it is es sential for the air nec essary for combustion of the gas to be able to flow naturally into the r oom.
Instructions for the installer 3. GAS CONNECTION This appliance is s uitable for inst allation wit h Natural Gas or LPG (propa ne). Refe r to page 12 for the relevant burner press ure and appr opriate injector sizes. W hen the app liance is to be connected to Natural Gas then t he pressure regulator suppl ied must be fitted to th e gas inlet.
Instructions for the installer 12 4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Make sure that the voltage a nd capacity of th e power line conform to the data shown on the plate l ocated under the casin g.
Instructions for the installer 5. AD APT A TION T O DIFFERENT TYPES OF GAS Before performing any cleaning or maintenance work, detach the appliance from the electrical socket. The hob has been inspected for NG natural gas at a pressure of 1.0 kPa. For functioning with other types of gas t he nozzles m ust be repl aced and the primary air adj usted.
Instructions for the installer 14 5.2 Regulation for LPG Loosen screw A and push support B all the w ay. Use a do uble hea d wrench to remove n ozzle C and ass emble the suitabl e one, following the instructions indicated in the referenc e charts, with r espect to the type of gas to use.
Instructions for the installer 5.3 Regulation for natural gas The hob has been adj usted for natural gas at a pressure of 1.0kPa. To allow the unit to work ba ck with this type of gas, after it has been adjusted for L PG, perform the s ame operations described in paragrap h “ 6.

FINAL OPERA TIONS Having carried out the ab ove adjustments, reassemble t he appliance following, backwards, th e inst ructions in paragra ph “ 6.1 Removing the hob ”. 6.1 Regulation of minimum for natural gas Replace the co mponents on t he burner a nd slide the knobs on the gas tap pins.
Instructions for the installer 6.3 Arrangement of burn ers on hob BURNERS 1 Auxiliary 2 Semi-rapid 3 Rapid 4 Rapid 5 WOK 6.4 Lubrification of gas taps After a while, the gas tap may become hard to turn o r lock. If this happens, it has to be cleaned i nside and re-greased.
Instructions for the user 18 7. USING THE HOB Before turning on the burners, make sure that the burner rin gs, caps and grids have been fitted correctly. In the ultrarapid burner, notch A must be aligned with pin B . Grid C provided is intended for use with wok s (Chinese pans).
Instructions for the user 7.2 Practical advice for u s ing the burners For better burner performance and minimum ga s consumption, flat bottomed, even reci pients must be used, with covers and proporti onal in siz e to the burners (se e paragra ph “ 7.
Instructions for the user 20 7.4.2 Using the electric elements The electric elements are idea l for ultrarapid cooking. The settings shown in the table are merely in dicative. POSITION HEAT INTENSITY POSSIBLE COOKING - 0 Off To melt butter, chocolate, etc.
Instructions for the user 8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Before any intervention, disconnect the power supply of the device. 8.1 Cleaning Clean the cooking top regul arly every time you use it, obv iously after it has cooled. Never use a steam jet to clean the appliance.
Instructions for the user 22 8.2 Cleaning of cooking hob components CAUTION: do not wash these components in a dishwasher. In normal use of the hob, the stainless steel burner caps and pan-stands tend to be burnished by the high temp erature. Clean thes e parts using very fine abrasive sponges or similar commercial pr oducts.
Instructions for the user 8.3 Preventive maintenance This appliance does not nee d any speci al maintena nce. However, a few simple operati ons have to be carried out peri odicall y to prevent malfunc.
