Installation instructions 33 2. Installation and hook-up Remove th e polystyrene basket retainer s. Position the applian ce in the de sired place of installat ion. The back or sides o f the di shwasher may be placed up against w alls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 34 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect th e intake hose t o a cold w ater supply w ith ¾” gas threa d, inserting the filter A supp lied with the dishwash er. Ta ke care to screw the hose firmly into place with y our hands and then c omplete by tightening about ¼ of a turn with pliers.

User instructions 36 SETTING THE WASHING PROGRAM To sele ct the most suitab le washing pr ogram, refer to the table below which indicates the rec ommended w ashing accordi ng to dish type and the degree of soiling. After using the table to identify the most appropriate washing pr ogram, turn the PROGRA M SELECTION knob (1) (see se ction "3.

User instructions 38 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM To cance l the program in progress th e dishwasher must be sw itched off by pressing the ON/OF F key (2) . Turn the progra m selector t o SOAK and wait for the di shwasher to s tart. On com pletion of t he program, switch off the dishwasher by pressing th e ON/OFF key (2) .

User instructions 40 4. Operating instructions Once the di shwasher ha s been correctly insta lled, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the w ater softening system; • Add the regenera ting salt; • Add the rinse a id and deter gent.

User instructions 43 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formatio n of scale deposits and staining; it is automat ically added to the water during the fin al rinse cyc le, from the cont ainer situated on t he inner si de of the door .

User instructions 46 4.3 General warnings and recommendations Before usi ng the dishwasher for the f irst time, it i s advisable to read the following r ecommendatio ns concern ing dish types to be washed an d their loa ding .
User instructions 47 Items which are not dishwasher-s afe: • Wooden dishe s, pots or p ans: these m ay be damaged by the high wash ing temperatures . • Handcrafted item s: these are rarely suitable for wa shing in a dishwash er. The relati vely high w ater temperatures and the detergent s used may damag e them.
User instructions 48 4.4 Using t he basket s The dishw asher has a capacity of 9 place-settings , includ ing serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The low er basket receiv es the full fo rce of the low er spray arm, an d should theref ore be used f or the “toughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 49 CUTLERY BASKET The cutler y should be arr anged in an orderly manner inside the bas ket, with the ha ndles pointing downw ards. Take care during loadin g to avoid injury from t he knife blade s. The basket i s suitable for all types of cutlery, ex cept those lo ng enough to interfere w ith the upper spray arm.
User instructions 50 LOADING THE UPPER BASKET Load t he dishes w ith the top side fa cing forwards; cups and concave container s should alw ays be loade d with the openin g facing down. The left side of t he basket can be loaded w ith cups an d glasses on two levels.
User instructions 51 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any w ork, always disconne ct the appliance from the electrical pow er supply. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of aci dic or abrasiv e detergents.
User instructions 52 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • The filter H should be periodical ly removed and inspected, and if necessary , cleaned. To re move the fil ter, take hold of the handle and turn clo ckwise, t hen lift upw ards.
User instructions 53 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLO NGED DISUSE: • Check that ther e are no deposit s of sludg e or rust inside the water pipe: if there are, allow the w ater to run from the water supply tap for a few minut es. • Plug the power cor d back into t he socket.
