User instructions 14 3 .3 Washing program s The dishw asher is eq uipped with a control pan el and an INFORMATIO N DISPLAY ( 8 ) from which it is po ssible to carry out all the pow er switch- on, switch-off and progra mming operations. Before starting a washing pro gram make sure th at: • The water su pply tap i s open.
User instructions 15 CHANGING THE PROGRAM To change the program, press and hold down the START/PAU SE button (3) for a few seconds, then select the new program as described previously in the instructions; press the START/PAUSE button (3) agai n, holding it down for a few seconds.

User instructions 17 STARTING THE DISHWASHER After correctly carrying out all the precedi ng operations, to start th e dishwasher simply press the START/PAUSE button (3) for a few seconds, until the start cycle acoustic device sounds. The INFORMATION DISPLAY (8) will show the duration of the program in minutes.

User instructions 21 ADJUSTING THE RINSE AID DISPENSER SETTING The dishw asher is fa ctory set for mediu m water hardness. How ever it possible to change the setting by turning the dispenser’ s selector to the desired p osition: the a mount of rin se aid dispensed is propor tional to the selector position.
User instructions 22 • The market off ers liquid and powder det ergents w ith differing chemical compositions , which may contain ph osphates , or be phosphate-free but contai n natural enzym es . - Detergents containing phosphates are m ore effectiv e against grease and st arch at temper atures above 60°C .

User instructions 24 Items which are not dishwasher-safe: • Wooden dishe s, pots or p ans: thes e may be dam aged by the high wash ing temperat ures. • Handcrafted items: th ese are rarel y suitable for washing in a dishwash er. The rel atively high w ater temperatur es and the detergents us ed may dam age them.

LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degr ee of soiling.
User instructions 26 CUTLERY BASKET The cutlery should be arrang ed in an orderly manner insid e the basket, with the handles pointin g downwards. Take care during l oading to avoid injury from the knife blades. T he basket is suitable for all types of cutler y, except those l ong enough to interfer e with the upper s pray arm.
27 LOADING THE UPPER BASKET Load the d ishes w ith the top sid e facing forw ards; cups a nd concave container s should always be loa ded with the ope ning facin g down. The left side of t he basket can be load ed with cup s and glasses on two levels.
28 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any w ork, always unplu g the appliance from the electrical su pply or switch off the all-pole di sconnection dev ice. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of aci dic or abrasive d etergents.
29 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advis able to peri odically ins pect the centre filter C an d, if necessary , to clean it . To remove the filt er, grip the tabs, turn them anticlockw ise and lif.
30 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLO NGED DISUSE: • Check that ther e are no depo sits of s ludge or rust inside the w ater pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supply tap for a few minut es. • Plug the power cor d back i nto the socket.
31 If the dishes fail t o dry or remain dull, check that: • there is r inse aid insi de the spec ial contai ner; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the deterg ent used is of good quality an d has not lost its effectivene ss (for e xample, through incorrect storage, with t he box left open).
32 2. T roubleshooting The dishw asher is eq uipped with a self-diagno stics sy stem that is capable of d etecting an d signalli ng a number of possible f aults.
