F ollowing this , put a saucepan of w ater on the front hot plates and turn them on full f or at least 30 minutes .

40 Instructions f or the user 5.4 Limiting the cooking duration The hob has an automa tic de vice which limits the duration of use . If the co oking zone setting s are not changed , the maximum dur ation of oper ation of each z one depends on the pow er lev el selected.

USING THE HOB 6.1 General warnings and ad vice On first conne ction to the electrical mains , an operati ng check will be carried out automatically and all the indicator lights will come on for a f ew seconds . When first connecting t o the mains, ma y be displa yed.
42 Instructions f or the user 6.3 Switching on the hob When not in use, the hob will be completely off . Ho ld down button f or two se conds to switch on the hob . A LED on the hob will light up to indicate the hob is on. If no function is activ ated within 30 seconds of s witching on, the hob s witches off automat ically .
