Safety instructions 2 1. Safety and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLI ANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CAREFULL Y READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.

Safety instructions 4 DO NOT DRINK THE WATER RESIDUES WHICH MAY BE PRESENT INSIDE THE DISHES OR DISHWASHER AT THE END OF THE WASHING PROGRAM AND BEFORE THE DRYING CYCLE. KNIVES AND OTHER SHARP-POINTED KITCHEN UTENSILS MUST BE PLACED IN THE CUTLERY BASKET WITH THEIR TIPS FACING DOWNWARD.
Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene basket retainers. Position the appliance in the desired plac e of installatio n. The back or sides of the dishwasher may be placed up agains t walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long time, before connecti ng to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of im purities, to prevent damage to the appliance.

User instructions 13 The washing cycle will n o t take place if the dishw asher door is left open or not properly closed. 3.2 Washing programs Before starting a washing pro g ram make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser .
User instructions 14 CHANGING THE PROGRAM To change the progr am in progress, simply open the d oor and select a new program. When the door is clos ed the dishwasher will automatically select the new program.
User instructions 15 DELAYING THE PROGRAM (available in all programs excep t the soak program) The PROGRAM DELAY button (9) can be pressed to del ay the start of the program by up to 9 hours . This means that the dish washer can be operated at the time of day of your choic e.

User instructions 17 If the door has to be opened while washing is in progress, the progr am will be interrupted. The relativ e light will keep flashing and a bee per will signal that the cycle has not been co mpl eted. When the door is closed the program will c ontinue from where it was interrupted.

Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Add the rinse a id and detergent. 4.1 Using the rinse aid and detergent dis pensers The detergent and ri nse aid dispenser s are on th e inside of the door; rinse aid on the left and detergent on the right.
User instructions 19 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the d ishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staini ng; it is automatically added to the water during the final rinse cycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 20 ADDING THE DETERGENT After adding the detergent, to close th e lid slide it in the direction shown by the arrow as far as it will go then press gently to lo ck. During washing, the dispenser will be opened automatically. • Use only detergents specially formulated for dishw ashers.
User instructions 21 • "2/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain rinse ai d, check whether your dishwasher is fitted with the " 2/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and the n r efer to the sect ion which explains how to use this function.
User instructions 22 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small obj ects in the baskets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 23 4.3 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacity of 7 place-settings , includi ng serving dishes. CAUTION: do not place items in positions where they prevent th e detergent dispenser hatch from open ing properly.
User instructions 24 The basket is fi tted with plate racks w hich can be stowed horizontal if required. CUTLERY BASKET Cutlery must be placed with the tips fac ing downward .
User instructions 25 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, always disconnect the appliance from the electrical power s upply. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.

Wash it in a jet of water and fit it into place correctly, checking that there are no impediments of any k ind preventing it from turning freely. CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • The central filter C should be inspected regularly and cl eaned if necessary.

T roubleshooting The dishwasher is capable of signall ing a number of faults through the simultaneous illumination of several i ndicator lights, with the following meanings: FAULT DESCRIPTION E3 Water heating malfunction The water is not heated or the heating parameters are not correct.
User instructions 30 If an alarm occurs the appliance interrupts the program in progress and signals a fault. • Alarms E3 , E4 and E9 interrupt the current program immediately. • The E5 , E6 alarms interrupts the running pro gram once the cause is resolved, it will bring bach the execution of t he program .
