3 Prepari ng the phone To insert the SIM card and battery 1 Remove the bat tery cover. 2 Slide the S IM card into its h older with t he contacts facin g down. 3 Insert t he battery with t he label side up and the connectors facing each ot her. 4 Repla ce the batt ery cover.

8 SIM and PIN SIM card The SIM (S ubscriber Iden tity Module ) card, which you get from yo ur network op erator, c o ntains i nformation ab out your subscription. Always t urn off your p hone and detac h the charger before you insert o r remove the SIM c ard.

18 Radio Your phone has a radio a nd the handsfree works as an ante nna. To listen to the radio 1 Connect t he hands free to the phone. 2 From standby press . To turn on the stereo speakers • When the radio is playing, se lect Options > Turn on sp kr .

21 Messaging Text messages (SMS) You must ha ve a service cen tre number, wh ich is supplied by your service pr ovider and saved on th e SIM card. You may have to enter the number y ourself . 22 Picture m essages (MMS) Picture messa ges can cont ain text, pic tures , sound re cordings and attachme nts. To create and send a picture message 1 From stand by press . 2 Select Picture m sg . 3 Enter text . To add it ems to the message, press , scroll , and select an item.
23 Camera You can take pictures an d record vi deo clip to view and save. You can send picture s taken with the cam era. They are saved in Menu > Organizer > File manager > Camera album . Th e format is JPEG. To start the camera and take a picture 1 From stand by press .
24 More functions TrackID™ TrackID™ is a free music recognition servic e. Search for song titles, artists and albu m names. You must h ave the required settings in your phone.
25 File manager You can use t he file m anager t o handle files sa ved in the p hone memo ry. To view information about files 1 From stand by select Menu > Or ganizer > File manager . 2 Find a file and se lect Options > Informati on . To move a file in the file manager 1 From stand by select Menu > Or ganizer > File manager .

27 To pair your phone with a Bluetooth handsfree 1 From stand by select Menu > S ettings > th e Connectivity tab > Bluetooth > Handsfree . 2 Select Yes if you are adding a Bluetooth han dsfree for the first time o r select Handsfree > My h andsfree > N ew hand sfree if you are pairing with anot her Blue tooth han dsfree.

29 If the characte r you want is no t displayed in t he candidate row , press to pre sent anothe r candidat e row. Cont inue pressi ng until the character you want is d isplayed.
