4 Over view What you can do with your player Y our UZ-PS128 is a portable player with b uilt-in solid memory . Y ou can play back MP3 files transferred to the player from your personal computer using the supplied software and the dedicated USB cable.
5 Overview Overview Main featur es • Headphone-style solid memory player - Highly portable with the player built into the headphones - Skip-proof using flash memory •A pproximately 11 hours of continuous playback with a single LR03 (size AAA) alkaline battery • Up to 120 minutes* of music can be stored in the b uilt-in memory.

7 Getting started Step 2: Inser t a battery The battery compartment is provided on the left ear side. Insert one LR03 (size AAA) alkaline battery into the battery compartment as illustrated below .

Basic operations 9 Basic operations Listening to music stored in your player First, insert a battery into your player (page 7) and record some audio data to the player’ s built-in memory . Note Disconnect the player from your computer before listening to music.
10 2 . Start playback. 3 1 2 – VOL + PLA Y/ST OP PO WER OPE 1 Set the PO WER switch to ON. The OPE indicator lights up in green. 2 Press PLA Y/ST OP . A short beep is heard in the headphones and playback starts. 3 Press V OL +/– to adjust the volume.

12 Recor ding from another audio device Y ou can connect your player to another audio de vice, such as a CD player, and record audio from that device. The audio is conv erted into MP3 files and stored in the player’ s internal memory .
Basic operations 13 About recor ded tracks •W henev er you stop recording, the audio recorded up to that point will be stored as a track. •A new tr ack is r ecorded after the end of the last track already stored. • During recording if the player’ s memory becomes full, the existing tracks will be erased starting with the first track.
14 B Advanced operations M.D.S.E /A UTO TRA CK OFF ON OFF ON Changing the sound quality (M.D .S.E) The M.D.S.E (MP3 Digital Sound Enhancer) allows you to enjoy c lear digital sound and a resonant bass. Set the M.D.S.E s witch to ON. Notes • If the sound is distorted when using the M.
Advanced operations 15 Using the player as stereo headphones Y ou can use the player as a pair of ordinary stereo headphones using the supplied analog connection cord.
16 Precautions General •N ev er use the player w here it will be subjected to extremes of light, temperature, moisture or vibration. • Remov e earrings when using this pla yer to av oid injury . Road Safety Do not use this player while driving, c ycling, or operating any motorized vehicle.
