UWP-V1 The UWP- V 1 consists o f a body-pack transm itte r (UTX-B2), a portable diversi ty tuner (URX-P2), and their access ories.
21 Configurat ion of the Package s UWP-V2 The UW P-V2 co nsists of a h and-held microphone (UTX-H 2), a porta ble diver sity tuner (URX-P2), and their access ories. When used i n conjunction with a compact camcord er, the UWP-V2 makes a mobi le system for ENG (Elect ronic News Gather ing) or E FP (Electr onic Fiel d Producti on) pur poses.

25 Features Features Each of th e UWP-V1/V2/V6/X7 /X8 wireless microphone packages (referred to as the UWP series packag es hereafter) combines a transmitter (bod y-pack transmitter (UTX-B2) or han d -held microphone (UTX-H2)) and a receiver (porta ble divers ity tuner ( URX-P2) or diversity tuner m odule (URX-M2)).
26 Features Body -pack transmitter (UTX- B2) This is a small and lightweight transmitter with a cry stal-controlled P LL (phase lock loop) synthesiz ed system and a BMP-type microph one inpu t conne ctor. T he RF power output can be s et at 30 mW or at 5 mW.

34 Power Supply Power Supply This section explains the po wer supply for each compo nent. Divers ity tuner module (URX- M2) When in corporated in to ano ther com ponent (e.g., MB-X6, SRP-X500P, etc.), the tuner module draws its power from that componen t.
35 Power Supp ly 2 Align two new LR6 ( size AA) al kaline batteries with the polarity markings and i nsert them into the battery compartment . 3 Turn t he grip in the direc tion op posi te to the arrow in step 1 to clo se the battery com partment. 41 Operat ion T o install a diver sity tuner module (URX-M2) into the SRP-X500P P owered Mixer The SRP-X500 P Powered Mix er can accommo date up to two diversity tuner module s (URX -M2). 42 Tuner S ettings If noise is hear d Depending on the environmen t where the UWP series comp onents are ins talled, exter nal nois e or radio waves may d isrupt transmission on certain chann els. When s electing a channe l unde r these circumstances , turn off the transmitte r.
43 Tuner Se ttings Hold do wn the + or – butto n to ch ange the channel group faster. 4 When the desired channe l group number appear s, pre ss the SE T butt on. The select ed grou p is e ntered . The righ t four digits start to flash to allow the se le ction o f the channel numbe r.
44 Tuner S ettings operate normal ly. Wait a few secon ds before tu rning it on a gain. Sear ching th e av ailable channels within the gr oup (Clear Channel Scan) The procedure below can be performed w ith the portable diversity tuner (URX-P2) only. 45 Tuner Se ttings 2 Select t he cha nnel g roup on the tuner module installed into th e slot 1 of the MB-X6 . 3 Aft er conf irming that the ch annel group ind ication has stoppe d flashi ng (about 10 seconds aft er you h ave selected the ch annel grou p), keep pres s ing the + button on the tune r module installed into th e slot 1 of the MB-X6 .
46 Tran smitt er Se tting s 3 Press the – bu tton. The ti me indication re sets to “00:00 .” While “00:00” is still displayed, you can retu rn to pre vious value by pre ssing the + button. 4 Leave the tu ner f or ab out 10 seconds or press down the SET but ton for mo re than one second.
47 Transmitter Settings Sele ct the gro up number before selecting th e channel num ber as follows. 1) While the left two digits are flashi ng, selec t the group nu mber by pre ssing the + or – but ton. 2) While t he desired g roup nu mber appears, press the SET button .
48 Tran smitt er Se tting s 4 Set the POWER switch to OFF to complete th e setting, or pre ss the SET button to set other items. The results are stored in me mory. The change b ecomes effect ive the n ext tim e you tu rn on th e tr ansm itter by setting th e POWER switch to ON.
