14 Connecting the Projector Connectin g the Pr ojector When you connect the projector , make sure to: • T urn off all equipm ent before maki ng any connect ions. • Use the proper c ables for each connect ion. • Insert the cabl e plugs firmly; loose connect ions may i ncrease noise and redu ce pe rfor mance of pic ture sign als.

18 Projecting • When you adjust the po wered tilt adjuster with the TIL T k ey , the V ke ystone adjustment is performed at th e same time. If y ou do not wan t to perfor m the automati c key stone adjustme nt, set the V Keystone menu to “Manual. ” (See page 33.

The factory setting is English. T o ch ange the menu lan guage, procee d as follows: 1 Plug the A C power cord into a wall outlet.
21 Sec urity Lock Convenient Functions T o clear th e menu Press the MENU key . The menu disappears a utomatica lly if a key is not pressed for one mi nute. Security Lock The projector i s equipped with a sec urity lock fu nction. When you tur n the power of the p rojecto r on, yo u are re quired to input the p rev iously s et passw ord.
22 Secu rity L ock Enter the password on this screen. 3 Enter the passw o rd again to confirm. When the fo llowing message is displayed , the setting fo r security lock is comple ted. If “Inv al id Password!” is displ ayed on the menu screen , perform this procedure again from step 1.

Remove dust f rom the ou tside of t he vent ilation ho les with a v acuum cleane r . 1000 ho urs are appro ximate. This value varies dependi ng on the en viro nment or how the proj ector is used.
