Using This Guide Get Ready − page 1 − Find out what you need to do befor e you use your phone the first time, including inserting a batter y and activating Sprint service on your phone. 2 The setup application helps you set up v arious options and applications, including setting up your Google™ Account.* Complete the Setup Application 1. When the device is first turned on, the setup application should automatically begin. 2. T ouch Start and follow the pr ompts to complete the setup application.

4 Move Around Y our Phone’ s Menus and Screens Using Gestures Y our phone’ s touchscr een lets you contr ol everything thr ough various types of touches, or gestures. T ap: When y ou want to type using the onscr een ke yboard, select items such as application and settings icons, or press onscr een but tons, simply tap them with your finger .

8 Samsung Galaxy Victory Buttons and Keys The bottom front of y our phone contains a row of thr ee static keys that let y ou perform specific functions. Abo ve the buttons, there is a pr ogram-dependent r ow of ke ys (they’r e always av ailable from the unlock ed Home scr een) .

10 T ext Entry with the Samsung Keyboard Entering text with the onscr een Samsung QWERT Y ke yboard is easy: just tap the letters to type the wor ds. 1. Fr om a screen where y ou can enter text, tap the input field to r eveal the onscreen k eyboar d.

Y ou should set up your voicemail and personal gr eeting as soon as y our phone is activated: 1.
12 Make a Phone Call 1. Press and tap Phone . 2. T ap the digits of the number you want to call on the Phone k eypad. ( The number will appear just abov e the k eypad as you enter it. T ap to delete one or mor e digits.) 3. T ap . Answer an Incoming Call • Drag to the right on the scr een.

14 Save a Phone Number 1. Press and tap . 2. Enter a phone number using the onscr eeen ke ypad. 3. T ap Add to Contacts > Cr eate contact. 4. T ap the Name field, and enter a name for the new entry . 5. T ap Mobile (default) to select a label such as Mobile, Home, Work, Work F ax, Home F ax, Pager , Other , Custom, or Callback.

16 Y our phone’s Email applications let you access and manage multiple email accounts simultaneously in one conv enient location. Although ther e is a separate Gmail application, the main email application can manage both Internet-based email services (Gmail™ and Y ahoo™) and Corpor ate Work Email (Outlook ® ).

Enter a DomainUsername , Password , and Exchange Ser ver information. 7. Read the onscr een activation disclaimer and, if pr ompted, tap Next .
18 T ake a Picture 1. Press and tap > Camera . 2. Using your display as a viewfinder , aim the camera lens at your subject, and tap the onscreen camera icon. View Pictures • Pr ess and tap > Gallery to view the Camera folders. Record a Video 1.

20 Connect to a Wi-Fi Network When you’ re in r ange of an av ailable Wi-Fi network you can use y our phone’s Wi-Fi feature to access the Internet and other data services. 1. Press > and tap Settings > Wi-Fi . 2. T ap Wi-Fi > to turn Wi-Fi on .
