6 Pla ce all parts from the box in a cleared area a nd position them on the floor in front of you. Remove all pa cking materi als from your area a nd pla ce the m ba ck into the box. Do not dispose of the pa cking materi als until a ssembly is completed.
ASSEMBL Y INSTRUCTIONS 7 Pla ce the front end of the RIGHT PEDAL ARM(5) on the ROLLER(40). Connect the ba ck end of the RIGHT PEDAL ARM(5) to the RIGHT CRAN K(32) located inside the CRAN K DISK(29) a s shown. Threa d the RIGHT PEDAL SHAFT(35) into the RIGHT CRAN K(32) a nd tighten se curely .
ASSEMBL Y INSTRUCTIONS 8 STEP 5: Refer to the inset drawing. Lay the UPRIGHT(6) on the floor close to the front of the MAIN FRAME(1). T urn the TENSION K NOB(22) on the UPRIGHT(6) counterclockwise a s far a s it ca n go , so the cable end extends out of the metal f itting a s far a s possible.
ASSEMBL Y INSTRUCTIONS 9 STEP 8 Atta ch the HAND RAIL(7) onto the UPRIGHT(6) with BUTTON HEAD BOL TS(M8x1.25x100mm)(51), ARC W ASHERS(M8)(65), LOCK W ASHERS(M8)(66), a nd ACORN NUTS(M8x1.25)(64). STEP 9 Install a n AAA battery into the METER(23). See page 1 1 for detailed battery installation in structions.
SET UP INSTRUCTIONS 10 Equipment M at Adjust the LEVELING CAPS(44) on the REAR ST ABILIZER(3) so that the INSTRIDE ELLIPTICAL sets on the floor without rocking. Gra sp the HAND RAIL(7) and REAR ST ABILIZER(3) to move the INSTRIDE ELLIPTICAL, two people are required for moving.
11 USING THE ELECTRONIC METER CALORIES: TIME: DIST ANCE: POWER OFF: Automatically sca n s TIME, SPEED, DIST ANCE, a nd CALORIES in sequence with a cha nge every four se conds. Press a nd relea se the button until "SCAN" a ppears on the display .
OPERA TIONAL INSTRUCTIONS T o increa se the load, turn the TENSION K NOB(22) clockwise. T o decrea se the load, turn the TENSION KNOB(22) counterclockwise. LOAD ADJUSTMENT 12 EXERCISE WORKOUT T o start using the INSTRIDE ELLIPTICAL simply sta nd on the foot pedals with the front of your shoe s close to the front edge of the pedal ca p.

14 CONDITIONING GUIDELINES How you begin your exercise progra m depends on your physical condition. If you have been ina ctive for several years or are severely overwe ight, start slowly a nd increa se your workout time gra dually . Increa se your workout intensity gra dually , too, by monitoring your heart rate while you exercise.
15 W ARM-UP a nd COOL-DOW N W arm-up The purpose of warming up is to prepare your body for exercise a nd to mini mize injuries. Warm up for two to f ive minute s before strength-training or a erobic exercising. Perform a ctivities that raise your heart rate a nd warm the working muscles.
