1 Introduction The SV231D VIU AHR 2-P or t High Resolution Dual-Link D VI USB KVM Switch provides simple, y et comprehensive control of 2 directly- connected computers, as well as audio s witching cap.
2 Inst allation NO TE: Prior to the installation, please power off all de vices that will be connected to this system. Ensure that all devices y ou will connect are proper ly grounded. Place cables a wa y from fluorescent lights, air conditioners, and machines that are likely to generate electrical noise.

4 Console Connection Before installation, ensure that all devices and computers to be connected to the KVM switch are po wered off. 1. Connect a D VI-capable monitor to the Console’ s D VI por t. 2. Plug a USB keyboard and a USB mouse to any two of the Console’ s USB por ts as shown below .
5 Operation Front Panel On-line LED / Selected LED When the LED turns green, the connected computer is powered-on. When a computer is selected, its corresponding red LED illuminates. Push Buttons Pressing the “Select” button s witches between por ts.
6 T o start Auto Scan: Left <CTRL> + Left <CTRL> + <F1> T o abor t the A uto Scan mode, press the left <CTRL> ke y twice. When Auto Scan detects an y keyboard activity , it suspends the scanning till the activity stops; it then resumes with the next computer in sequence.
7 The KVM switch beeps once or twice corresponding to ON and OFF respectively . T o change which computer por t the audio stays on to the currently selected por t, press the follo wing hotke y: Left <CTRL> + Left <CTRL> + <A> USB-P ort Rule There are two settings f or USB-P or t Rule: ON or OFF .
8 Alternative Hotk ey Commands In addition to the Left <CTRL> + Left <CTRL> hotke ys, there are two alternative hotke y sequences av ailable . For the f ollowing operations, users ma y press <ScrollLock> twice instead of pressing left <CTRL> twice.
9 Change Leading Hotke y The default leading hotk ey sequence inv olves pressing the left <CTRL> twice in succession (e.g. left <CTRL> + left <CTRL>). This can be changed to the right <CTRL> key instead, to a void accidental activation due to using the left <CTRL> ke y for functions such as Cop y/Paste .
