Chapter 1 Setting Up t he Ser ver Hardware 3 Disassembling the Slide Ra ils Before Installation Use this procedure to r em ove the mounting brackets from the slide-rail assemblies. 1. Unpack th e slide-rails. 2. Locate the slid e-rail lock at th e front of one of the slide- rail assemblies, as shown in FIGUR E 1- 1 .

Position a slide-rail assembly in your rack so that the brackets at each end of the slide-rail assembly are on the outside of the front and rear rack posts.

Continue pushi ng until the slide -rail lock s on the front of the mounting brackets engage the slide-rail assemblies.
