9 V . GENERAL W ARNINGS ▲ ! A. WEIGHT LIMIT NEVER exceed the weight limit of 250 pounds (113.6 kilograms), for combined weight of rider and items carried. If you do exceed the limit, damage to your chair , a fall, tip- ov er or loss of control ma y occur and cause sev ere injury to the rider or others.
11 V . GENERAL W ARNINGS ▲ ! H. TERRAIN 1. Y our chair is designed for use on firm, ev en surfaces such as concrete, asphalt and indoor floors and carpeting. 2. Do not operate y our chair in sand, loose soil or over r ough terrain. This ma y damage wheels or axles, or loosen fasteners of your chair .

How your chair is set up , the options you select and the changes you mak e may aff ect the risk of a fall or tip-ov er .

17 VI. W ARNINGS: F ALLS & TIP-O VERS ▲ ! 9. Ramps At Home & W ork - For your saf ety , ramps at home and work must meet all legal requir ements for your area. W e recommend: a. Width. At least four feet wide. b. Guardrails. T o reduce the risk of a fall, sides of ramp must hav e guardrails (or raised borders at least thr ee inches high).

25 IX. CHAIR BASICS A. T O FOLD & UNFOLD CHAIR NEVER let your fingers come betw een the seat rail and the frame rail when you open or fold this chair . This may cause a pinch or crush-type injury . 1. T o F old Chair : a. Remove back insert (if any).
27 26 A. SET -UP 1. Fasteners Use of improper fasteners ma y cause the chair to fail. Over or under -tightened fasteners ma y fail or cause damage to chair parts. If bolts or scre ws become loose, tighten them as soon as you can. a. Many of the scre ws and bolts on this chair are special high-str ength fasteners.
29 Front Casters a. T urn chair face up . b. Use 3/16 allen wrench and 1/2 sock et wrench to r emove two bolts located on right front of caster f ork assembly . c. Lift caster post assembly out of existing position and insert in top mounting hole position.
31 G. SWING-A W A Y FOO TRESTS Note : Footrests and legr ests are interchangeable and will fit on left or right side of chair . Appropriate functional use will r equire additional adjustment to footrest (p.32 Changing F ootrest from Left to Right) 1. Installation a.

37 A. 5 YEAR LIMITED W ARRANTY Sunrise warrants the frame and cr oss-brace of this wheelchair against defects in materials and workmanship f or five y ears to the original purchaser .
